With Pallet seen in BW1, Misty/Tracey are officially MIA

Now I'm not trying to say those two will never be seen again or anything, but for the time being, it seems like the very oldest characters who left the series, Misty and Tracey, will probably not be seen for the forseeable future.

BW1 had Pallet for the first 5 minutes, and as expected, only Oak and Delia were there. I was kinda surprised we didn't see Tracey too, but we didn't go to Oak's lab so I can see why he wasn't there.

I don't believe Misty will cameo in Best Wishes at all, she'll likely be treated the same way she was in DP, and maybe get one mention if the lure is ever used again. Tracey...who knows? Most likely May is following suit, as well as Max obviously.

Dawn/Brock could go either way at this point, since they just left. We'll see.

You can't know that, they're not in the show anymore. And seriously why we need them to appear now? We have new characters and new region. I'd prefer that no one will make another appearance for now.

People have speculated about a Pallet reunion after DP ended, but once it became obvious Pallet wouldn't be seen till BW1, it was obvious it wouldn't happen.

As much as I want to hate you for saying this I have to admit it's probably the truth.

I'm impressed you predicted this, yes me and alot of fans didn't see this coming, Misty not returning in pallet was the last thing on my mind untill you considered it.

I think the writer are just thinking ahead knowing the cast is too big now and they not doing it because they dislike the characters but for what's best for the show and sadly it meant writing of not just Misty and Tracey but probably alot of the old characters too.

I am sad but I'm not going to let it get to me anymore, so in public I announce that I'm officially no longer the Suicidal Pokeshipper, I've chosen to live to forfill out my dreams to create a free anime. I've got a boyfriend, family and friends who love me and because I love them back and know they are real I'm choosing to live for them.

The show has now gone on for 14 years so the writers probably feel any fans from Kanto have moved on from Pokemon. The same thing is happening to the AG characters as well, as May is also a very old character now.

If Misty and the others are ever seen again, it'll probably be in whatever the true series finale is, but that won't be until whenever the show comes to a complete end....whenever that is.

Thank god, no more "how Misty will return/cameo" speculation threads. It's finally over. But I feel bad for those pokeshippers still holding out hope. They think the focus band Ash obtained in DP is the handkerchief Misty gave him, and they are not even the same color.

I glad Ash's teddiursa gift from May was show in pallet along with the summer school award. If there's a Ruby and Sapphire remake I wonder if they'll just replace May like Lyra replace Krystal, to bad May was really one of a kind character.

I would like to see Misty again for the finale but I doubt it, then again it will probably be years from now.

The only time I can truly see every character appearing again is in some kind of series finale whenever the show ends.

It might be hard though, since there are also a lot of rivals now too and most of them are gone. I can't imagine seeing Paul at Pallet, then there's May and Dawn's rivals...too many characters.

Thats the consequence which happens when there are too many new characters being brought in some show,with many great older characters being left ignored and neglected like they were never part of pokemon series in first place with their stories being left unresolved(its more than obvious how Misty met this kind of faith with writers not even giving her closure like her goal for example,sending her at gym due to sisters fiasco with ).

There are only two ways really to solve this issue:
-either character replacing stops with rotation of older characters taking place with writers concentrating on them progressing them more instead of continuing with this pointless cycle which brings nothing good
-or new set of pokemon chronicles is made featuring characters who are absent in main series

At this point im not surprised that Tracey or Misty were not seen,considering episode at Pallet town was anything but reunion not even lasting for whole episode.Which is a shame really because this kind of approach writers are doing is just makin fans more and more dissapointed,giving bad reputation for pokemon anime.Call it whatever you want but show which gets rid of characters who were important part of it like theyre garbage is not one of positive things.


However does that mean we will never see older characters including Misty or Tracey again?I dont think so,some of older characters are too popular(demand for some of returns is big)and iconic to be completely phased out and from anime standpoint they have reasons to be seen again as long they have unfinished things from past going for their stories allowing for excuses and material to be brought in.

Yes call me a fool or whatever you want,but unlike some people i havent lost hope of older characters being seen again,with their time of return not necessarily meaning at end of this show.
In reality we dont know what will happen with them,and what are writers plans(if they have them).

We're ALL aware of that. Anyone with half a brain knows that as new characters are introduced, old ones will slowly be phased out of existence. If even the slightly important characters HAD to remain in the show, it'd be MUCH longer than 30 minutes. Besides, they can only stay on for a set amount of time before they've served their purpose..

Is it just me, or does Cybercube bring up Misty more often than the Misty fans do? Also I don't think either Misty or Tracy will disappear completely from the show. At the very least they might appear towards the end of the series.

Speaking of HGSS promotion,Misty is also gym leader in those games so if wanted writers could have use her as one of elements to advertize them.

Jessibelle cant be compared to Jessie because they are still different characters with different personalities.Point is that her return shows how noone can be too old to be brought up again if writers decides to do something regarding them.

Also i think you meant Cerulean,and speaking of Misty and gym thats not problem in any shape or form if writers decide to bring her back.

^I'm not suprised aswell that writers didn't abuse Misty for HGSS promotion. HGSS games had too much of promotion already, like these kid actors or whoever they are.

No suprise at all, since these characters doesn't server any purpose for show anymore, I expected that, but I guess in future some sort of 5 min cameos will come by. Anyway, Cyber it's time to stop beating a dead horse.
