Did you fight trainers that where hard to beat with your final team?
I had problems with that guy with kangaskang that used reversal he OHKO'd all my pokey's
i had a problem with some chansey owner on seven island... he kept healing with softboiled and the battle lasted for 30 minutes before i gave up and turned the game off
The Elite 4 is quite hard when you battle them the first time, and your pkmn aren't strong enough yet. And there are a few trainers somewhere in Kanto/Sevii who are a little bit tough, but nothing to worry about ..
Loreli(Sp) the first time. I had a Charizard, Pidgeot and Dewgong. I always base my first E4 Team like this before i get t the Sevii Islands. It was rather hard.
i always hated battling chansey. they take forever to kill, especially if they use double team, have leftovers, and use softboiled. that battle can last forever!

On the C shaped like plateau about the house with the Chansey Dance man, there are two Pokémon rangers standing backs against each other. The one facing up has something like Tangela/Exeggutor/Exeggutor and the one facing down has that darned Minimize+Full Restore Chansey.

Same here, even with my Mewtwo, the Chansey would survive then would use Softboiled. I timed my battle with the girl who had the Chansey, took me 40 minutes to finally take her down.
the most annoyin trainer i found was just outside vermilion, the bug catcher with the ;012; , if u don't knock it down with one hit then it uses a spore move and paralizes your pokemon, grrr...it does my sweade when that happens
