Wonder if people still do this old school trick from R/B/Y...

From what I recall (from R/B/Y) it's when you hold Down + B, then mashing the down button (or something like that) when the pokeball starts to shake. For some reason, I still tend to do it with pokemon I have hard time trying to catch, and who knows? It might've worked. But then again, it could be the same chances of catching a pokemon.

Wonder if anyone did this in R/S/E/FR/LG?

I do something simaler when i'm battling Legendary Pokemon

I do something similar I hold A but it's because in my head throwing a Pokeball registers as shooting the Plasma Gun so thats why I hold it down =/

And sometimes when I catch a Pokemon the word "FRAG" comes up in my head suddenly.

I play too much online DooM.

Anyway, back on topic, looks like other people have their own methods of catching.

meh...seems like in the new games if you do try it the pokemon escapes. even on easy catches. I have found it a waste of time.

i hold B when it shakes but not when it is still

I know it does nothing at all, but I still mash the buttons like a mad man when I'm catching a pokemon that I really want.

I do'nt push any buttons when i'm trying to catch something I had a bad experance acidently attacking Registeel again due to that

I use nest balls on legendaries because they have 0 as their last digit. And i tap the button opposite of what the ball is shaking to.

i just keep tapping the A button like crazy or somtimes when the ball is thrown and it opens up i press b the down and hold it down

I press Up+B because that's what turned my Great Balls to Master Balls in Silver.

Again, it's very common for me to make a habit of doing Down + B whenever I'm desperate to catch a pokemon...oh well.
