ShadowCloud62
Child at Heart
Since my previous two fics haven't been as good as my first, Time's Sweetest Illusion, I believe I should start a new one.
Author's Note: For those who have read and reviewed Time's Sweetest Illusion, I thank you greatly. And this, my loyal reviewers, is my gift to you.
Prologue
There weren't any trees. It was just a flat stretch of green grass and flowers. The sky was always clear, always blue, always showing cheery sunshine. Doves flew by every moment, twittering pleasantly. There weren't any other animals.
This was the dimension many called the Meadow of Peace. It lived up to it's name, peaceful and tranquil. It was quiet, but in a pleasant way.
A creature kneeled downward and plucked a single dandelion off the ground. Smiling widely, it lifted the dandelion to another creature's lips.
The other creature smiled and ever so gently blew the dandelion fuzzes away. The creature who held the dandelion laughed and tossed the green stem aside. This creature had light orange fur, and his ears were perfectly shaped, no longer deformed. His yellow cheeks were glowing with happiness, and his arms rested content. He had a rather slim build, but nothing could be done with his white belly. His feet were awkwardly shaped but nevertheless normal for something like him, and his beady black eyes were gleaming with laughter.
Beside the rodent-like creature was a more human-like creature, a young female with a green bob on it's head, it seemed to be her hair. Her eyes were a beautiful cherry color, and her body was slim and white, however she wore what seemed to be a green gown around her body. Her arms were slim and green like her "gown", and a red triangular mark on her chest looked like a corset to her "gown".
"This place is beautiful," the rodent-like creature said, collapsing on his back, laying down on the grass, looking at the sky, "I love it here. Better than that hell, the Forest of Time, right, Shadora?"
The female named Shadora laid down beside the Raichu, giggling, "You're right about that. It is wonderful here, Kaytorin."
"C'mon, I told you to call me Kay. It's always Kay, you know that!" Kay said, laughing.
"Shadora, Kay."
The two pokemon sat up and instantly recognized the other pokemon in front of them. It was a small creature, looked like a turtle, blue skin, yellow stomach, red shell. It's eyes were a rather dark red, more of a blood red.
The Squirtle smiled widely and spoke, it's voice sounding like that of a young child, "Havin' fun, you two?"
Shadora laughed, "Yes...we are."
Kay rose, and stretched, "So, what's up, Sen?"
The young Squirtle named Sen grinned, revealing two front teeth missing, "Well, Mother wants to see you two. Don't know why, though. She wouldn't say what it was."
"Did she say it was important?" Kay asked.
"She said it could not wait." Sen replied.
Shadora was a little worried, though she tried not to show it, "Of course, Sen. Tell her we'll be right there."
"Heh, heh, sure, Miss Shadora, Mister Kay!" Sen jumped up and raced off.
Shadora turned to face Kay, trying to read his expression. Kay's eyes had dimmed with curiosity, and his lips upturned a little in suspicion.
"Are you worried?" Shadora asked without thinking.
Kay nodded, and placed an arm around the young woman, "Yes...I'm very worried."
READ TIME'S SWEETEST ILLUSION FIRST IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND THIS ONE! Anyway, I know it doesn't look like much, but chapter one will be up shortly.
