I've had this on my mind for a while, so I decided to post it.
Prologue:
Ten years ago a meteorite crashed on Earth. I know what you’re thinking, but the meteorite didn’t give people powers. What the meteorite did was release a being that had been sealed away for hundreds of years. The meteorite was part of a meteor that was used as an intergalactic prison. The prison was used to contain otherworldly evils that had been thwarted. But the meteor was starting to weaken due to the amount of prisoners that had accumulated on it. The reason that the prisoners were weakening the meteor was because for each of the prisoners a part of the meteor had to be hollowed. All the hollowing finally took its toll and a chunk broke off. That was the chunk that crashed onto Earth.
The evil that was in the meteorite was known simply as It. It broke out of his prison and soon plotted to take over Earth. He wanted to take over the Earth so that he could obtain its nuclear weapons. It planned to then use them to destroy the jail meteor, but one thing that he didn’t count on was that the humans were evolving. The genetic makeup of some of the humans had changed and gained powers that were only read about in comic books. After surviving the carnage of one of Its attacks one of those humans decided that enough was enough. Damien Sarris was one of the only people alive after It attacked a small country town in Australia. Damien found that all around the world there were reports of humans showing signs of having powers. Damien’s first trip took him to Pennsylvania where he met Veronica Michaels. Damien saved the woman from being burned alive and Veronica joined him in repayment. The two then set off to New Caledonia. There they met a man who called himself the Poisson Rouge, but Damien and Veronica soon learned that his name was Harry Bolder. The new trio were planning were to go next when It attacked. It had managed to convince four people like Damien, Veronica and Harry to join him. But what the four new enemies didn’t know was that It wasn’t trying to destroy the evil that was attacking the world, but rather the evil that was attacking.
The fight between the evil four and the trio went on for a long time and it was soon obvious that the trio were losing. The four had managed to knock out Harry and Veronica and were about to finish off Damien when one of them realized who he was. Damien’s sister revealed herself and convinced the others to listen to Damien’s motives to destroy the world. All four were shocked when they discovered that It was the one who wanted to destroy the world. So with that Scarlet Sarris, James Isaac, Kevin Russell and Cecilia Oaklyn joined the team. It was outraged at what the four ex-recruits of his did and he attacked for the final time. The team of seven fought against It and were winning until It managed to get to a nuclear missile. He shot the missile and it hit the jail meteor. The meteor exploded and many of the evils were unintentionally killed, but this didn’t affect It because all it meant to him was less competition, and three cells landed on Earth. The cells contained He, She and Them.
He, She and Them joined It in the battle and overpowered the team. They thought that It, She, He and Them were going to win when James told everybody to get away from the empty city. Puzzled the six superheroes did what they were told and it was just after leaving the city that they realized what James was doing. Then they saw the entire city get destroyed by a giant explosion. As the team stood dumbfounded at the explosion Scarlet ran into the city and found the charred body of her former beau. The funeral of Nova was broadcast worldwide. After the sacrificial act of James the team thought that the Earth was safe, but what they didn’t know was that many of the lesser evils had crash landed on Earth. Thankfully though most of them were dead, but some had survived the fall to Earth.
The evils consistently attacked the world, but they mainly focused on attacking the base town of the newly-christened World Defenders, which was Cyan in outback Australia. The evils were normally no trouble for the team but on several occasion they nearly got the better of the World Defenders. One of those occasions was when they were sent into the 1500s and Harry departed from the team to live a happy life with a woman he met. Another of those occasions was when everyone but Damien was turned into porcelain dolls. The only reason that they were turned back was that Damien discovered his power of shockwave creation.
