World of warcraft question

Brock Phillips

I apologise beforehand if this is the wrong place or if this is a stupid question to ask, but I was talking with some friends a day or two ago and they were talking about the World of Warcraft game that they had on there PCs, and and one of them said something like
"My troll (whatever his trol's name was,) salutes you."
"What's the difference between a troll salute and a real world salute?" I said, then added, "Apart from it being on World of Warcraft and by a Troll."

They looked at me and said, "Get a copy, join our guild and we'll show you."

"My computer's to slow and I'm uncomfortable with 'chatting' over the net." I said.

So, can anyone describe a "World of warcraft salute" to me please? Is it like a normal salute, (long way up, short way down,) or something completely different?

Sorry for sounding stupid.

Brock Phillips.

Ehm, well I've broken my computer and can't play at the moment, but generally a salute in WoW in most cases is exactly what you'd expect it to be - a salute :p (Trolls have some pretty cool animations though so I guess there's a chance they've got a unique salute). Yeah, WoW can sometimes be pretty system hungry (especially in the capital cities or during large raids), so I doubt it would run too well on a lower end system. I don't see why you say you're uncomfortable with chatting over the net though, you're kind of doing that now hehe.

Thanks, Phaarix.

My e-mail's "broken", so I'm a little more secure about net communication.

Do you (or does anyone who's reading this thread,) play WOW (World Of Warcraft) RPGs or any other D20 games?

Or AD&D 2nd ed./1st ed.?

I just play WoW, have been playing since about march or april last year (only MMO I've actually enjoyed and got into). One of friends who's gone to Uni now plays pen and paper D&D, but I know practically nothing about that so yeah.

What/who do you play in it (D&D), Phaarix?
For myself and my friends, I'm working on a link between AD&D 2nd ed. and 3rd ed./D&D and the other D20 worlds.
Iv'e a feeling that it may take some time.....
