Worst Animé Ever

Enough of what you like more of what you think deserves to be wiped off the face of the Earth and why! I know this thread has been done before but I'm bringing it back up. Maybe even say which animé you've seen is the worst and why.

According to Animé News Network, SD Gundam Force is the worst animé in all of existence.

I completely disagree. SD Gundam Force wasn't great but it wasn't the worst. I'd have to go with Eiken and I question why it is not on Animé News Network's worst animé list (it is however #1 on their worst manga list). How to put why Eiken is plain awful? Well first of all, if the characters were real, some of them would probably hold the world record for largest breasts. Also, there was fan service 24/7! Also, why was it even dubbed?

Did Anime News Network even count the Eiken anime, though?

That's the problem with anyone claiming to make a definitive list or claim for something like this, because oftentimes there is a quality threshold. I can think of much smutz (A lot of it not "pure" entertainment) that SD gundam easily beats, but that means nothing if they don't acknowledge any of it.

Now, if the list specified worst "legitamate", as in "it actually tried to be good rather than having a schnik that you HAVE to get to enjoy it" anime, then you could take that a little more seriously.

You learn all about that being a big Wii fan on the internet- ALL Wii games or all "We ACTUALLY TRIED" Wii games?

NOW, if THIS isn't the problem, what little respect I had for Anime News Network (I don't go there to start with) has evaporated.

I would have to say Afro Samurai as my nomination here. It aired here last year and was for me an instant turnoff, mostly due to the violence. If that doesn't count, then Samurai Champloo (which was more tolerable).

Eiken stands with a 4.39/10, SD Gundam Force stands at a 2.67/10.

Check it out yourself.

Naruto, School Days is a close second.

I find a lot of flaws with the anime adaptation of Bleach. It's up there with some of the worst because it's just such a total mess. The animation is probably the worst after Naruto and it seems like there aren't any quality checkers to check to see if everything is running smoothly in this anime. The music is good, but the animation (or lack thereof) really gets to me now as I can't watch it for too long without noticing the sloppiness of it all :s

Kutie Pie

"It is my destiny."
(Kirby at #22 lol. I actually like that show when it's not dubbed. And 4KIDS lost $3.5 million in the first quarter of this year, ha. No wonder they're desperate.)

*COUGH*

Thank goodness Ultimate Muscle's on there (even though it's at #31). I honestly have no idea why we even watched it when it was on the FoxBox. Gah, it was terrible X_X. It got even worse when they introduced this guy. HOW is it that 4KIDS didn't censor that guy? I'm just grateful Mom banned that show in the house after a while and just before he appeared, she couldn't stand it anymore.

But wow, Pokémon 4Ever is down at the bottom with Pokémon 2000 and the first movie. That's surprising.

Bibarel's adorable.
I know people are gonna hate me for this, but I really didn't like Gurren Lagan that much. I found the whole plot to be a bit cliched, basically Animal men taking over the world in mechs while humans fight back. They eventually teamed up to fight a bigger threat, but still. I also disliked the voice acting, which I found was so bad, but not bad enough to be good. That little "pig mole" that the kid (forgot his name) keeps around was annoying and not even cute. I wanted the worst to happen to that thing, but nothing happened. Also annoying is that guy that died about half way through the series (forgot his name, too. Infact, the only characters name I remember is Yoko) mostly because his voice and quotes seemed so exaggerated and corny. I can forgive the anime for being overrated, since I don't hate a series just for being overrated. Maybe I'm just not into that kind of anime. I guess I'm more into anime where you have to think, like Case Closed. *Puts up flame shield*

Turnabout Pokemon
There's too many.

But I didn't like Reign the Conqueror, for one. It made me cringe. The story, the animation, the characters... Such a turn off for me.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX comes to mind as well. I've watched both versions; the Japanese version and the English 4Kids version. The English version sucked beyond words and the Japanese version, while better than the dubbed version, still didn't retain any of the feel of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. I guess I'm hard to please but GX just didn't do much for me. I prefer 5Ds over it.

Bakugon! Is that even an anime? well, It sucked. It had no real backround, no real love moments, no mecha, no thinking, no evil plot, no REAL emo characters, no drawn fights (almost all CG) no memories, A LOT of filler, and seriously, there playing with plastic balls with creatures that can destroy everything when they battle! wait... (pokemon-the greatest anime ever) There getting to close to pokemon/yugioh/beyblade...

Panty and Stocking. It's like watching a Cartoon Network series, but with monsters made out of crap, sex, and magical girl transformation sequences that include poledancing.

You mean Bakugan, that anime about the pods that transform into monsters or something with cards boosting their power? I've seen that shiz a few times and it was kind of boring even for a kids anime. The characters seemed totally bland and generic compared to those in other kids anime shows so that should tell you something right there. It's not the worst though as I like some of the battle scenes, but it's just pretty boring the rest of the time.

I'm going with ParaChomp's vote for Eiken. It made my eyes bleed from all the fanservice. Yuck. :p

Quoted from wiki

"Actual pornography disguised as romantic comedy pseudo-pornography. Densuke, a clumsy teenager, enlists in his school's all-girls Eiken club, which has no real purpose (the name is meaningless) other than to surround him with stereotypical women into whose enormous, lemon-shaped breasts and giant butts he constantly stumbles. The main thing distinguishing this from other fanservice manga is the complete lack of plot and the revolting artwork, including a sixth-grader with breasts so large they look like giant testicles, and numerous obscene shots of women eating Popsicles, veiny chunks of beef, and the like. Probably intended as a parody of 'normal' shōnen romantic comedy manga, it is still almost unreadable. Early volumes were labeled as 16+ before switching to the more appropriate older rating."[1]

Stig Hogset gave the anime a one-star review on THEM Anime reviews, calling it "one of the most exploitative, demeaning anime titles I have ever seen".[2] He went on say that "Eiken is like an hour-long nighmare of sexual innuendo of the creepy kind... you'll never find a bigger collection of 'wrong' anywhere else."

^After that, I still don't see why SDGF is worse. Maybe it's the many fans of the main Gundam series talking.

Incidentally, I heard someone say Code Geass is the worst somewhere. Then again, he watched animes like Queen's Blade and Gurren Lagann. Gurren Lagann's fine but I heard about how the ending is and apparently, it's the polar opposite of Code Geass.
