Worst cartoon characters of all time?

I'm going to be sarcastic and say every character from naruto that isn't Gaara.

Then I;m going to be completely serious and say that Courage the Cowardly dog is one of my least favorite cartoon characters.

But... why, exactly? Is it because he's as cowardly as he was shown to be? I personally like Courage. He may be a coward, but even then, when Muriel is in a perilous situation he finds a way to suck it up and get dangerous. He's even saved Eustace despite the man kicking him around numerous times (but then the dog bites back at times--heh, puns). He's man's best friend, after all.

I can already tell Uncle Grandpa will be annoying just from the commercials.

I don't have a reason, I just didn't like the show at all and didn't understand the hype as a kid. the show scared me and as I grew older I didn't like the humor found in it. It's just personal preference, and I probably could name an even worse character but I can't think of any other character I dislike more. every other character I hated wasn't really the worst, and visa versa.

I really dont like Kenny from South Park, he cannot talk, but he mumbles constantly. But the thing that is worst of all, the fact he never dies. I think the creators of this show have little imagination by constantly killing of the annoying Kenny and bring him back unscathed, every single time.

It was explained that Kenny is a half-demonic immortal who comes back by returning to his mother's womb after he dies. Mrs. McCormick then rapidly goes through pregnancy, gives birth, and places him in his parka, inside of which he grows back to his true age overnight.

Did you not see this piece of firmly established canon in the Coon & Friends saga? Now it all makes sense...

Hercule from DBZ is annoying. Krypto the Superdog is bland. That's all I got for now.

Any character from Johnny Test.

That show hurts my eyes and I cannot like any aspect of it. That is my honest opinion.

I flipped on Cartoon Network a few months ago and realized that the Cartoon Network i grew up watching was so much better than the current one. Probably another one i can think of is Flapjack. The cartoon show wasn't that great and to top it off the show was just...strange. And creepy. Very Creepy.

Spongebob and Patrick in the newer episodes could not be more annoying
More annoying than the annoying orange cartoon? I almost destroyed my television after watching that show. If that isn't a candidate for worst cartoon show/character ever i'd be surprised.

much more beastly

I stand corrected. Annoying Orange is almost as annoying as Fred (who isn't a cartoon character, so he doesn't qualify), and about as funny

Annoying Orange and Fred should've just stayed locked on the Internet. It's cheaper, and you don't have to worry about filling in a specific amount of time-slots. Also the fact that they work better in small intervals. They're living proof that not everything can be adapted well on television, and yet executives are blind and deaf to it as it makes them money.

Same reason for why SpongeBob hasn't been taken off the airwaves. Stephen Hillenburg had every right to end SpongeBob, but Nickelodeon wouldn't let him retire the show on a high note. Now we have reports of SpongeBob affecting children's intelligences. I wonder if it's a cry for help. The writers know it's awful now, so they're trying as much as possible to get the show pulled off the air, even if it means taking extreme measures. Squidward torture porn episodes, anyone?

Taffy from Rugrats. Her whole place in the show was just jarring. I don't mind so much that they felt the need to shove Amanda Bynes in their, but the character herself just didn't feel right. All of the other adults had their quirks and were entertaining because of it. Taffy was just a little too perfect and the babies were just a little too attached to her. I felt like the show gravitated towards the character a bit too much.

I mean I don't despise the character but I do think the time she was introduced was the absolute lowest point of the Rugrats. If she was at least a bit more interesting and/or didn't play so heavily in the plots of some episodes, I probably wouldn't care so much.

I have no idea who Taffy is, and I think I'm better off not knowing. Yeah, again, it could be because I never had cable, so I never got to see Rugrats end, but I guess it's proof that even good shows will have a low point. Then again, I heard Rugrats didn't really end on a high note either, so it's a wonder All Grown Up remained as popular as it did. Yeah, "All Growed Up" was great, but I really don't think it should've garnered a series of its own.

I'm still surprised they gave the fruit his own TV show. That shouldn't happen as there are things you leave on the internet. This is one of those things.

The writing recently hasn't been too bad from what I've heard. The shows writers may be bored, but they wouldn't kill it with a stunt like porn.
Now in terms of kids intelligence, well that's not so much the shows fault, but Nickelodeon's fault for running it so damn often.

If Hollywood can make documentary movies based on popular pop stars, then an Internet fruit celebrity can be given his own show. Doesn't mean it will be automatically good though, even if they're written by the same people.

One of the recent episodes had Squidward obtain a brain injury severe enough to revert his intelligence back to that of an infant--which would be permanent if he got more head injuries. Horrible things then immediately happen to him that result to injuries to his head (all under SpongeBob and Patrick's supervision). Then Mr. Krabs forced him to still work as a cashier while he's soiling himself and babbling baby talk, and after more horrendous antics, he returns to normal when ice cubes land on his head.

How is that not bad writing to you? I'm very curious.

Now in terms of kids intelligence, well that's not so much the shows fault, but Nickelodeon's fault for running it so damn often.

But the writers in charge of writing the episodes could still make a long-running show well done as long as the writing is good. But nope, it's been bad episode after bad episode with the rare decent episode here and there. So both the writers and Nickelodeon are at fault here.
