Lover of underrated characters
Alain because he was a Gary Stu plain and simple.
Ash should have beaten him and gone on to lose to somebody else. What's the point of Ash battling somebody that many times and never coming out on top? It's **** writing.... Wally would have been a far better dream crusher. Introduce him fairly early, portray him as the underdog and slowly show his progress(Not offscreen magic like Sawyer, that was also bad writing.... I don't get how people can honestly like these two characters) to make it believable and he overcomes Ash at the League!
Not to mention, unlike everybody else who crushed his dreams.... Alain doesn't give a **** about the League. -_-
