Worst Zelda game?

Medly

Latila's future
What is the worst zelda game you played? Mine was Majora's Mask.

I assume we're forgetting about the CDi games. Umm, why do you hate Majora's Mask. Do you want to back up your opinion perhaps. And this probably belongs in the Nintendo Discussion (except the CDi games, they do not exist!) Maybe not for me to say, though.
Mine would probably have to be Adventure of Link. I hated the side-scrolling parts and everything was just so goddamn hard to find.

The worst zelda games are obvisully the Cdi games. The worst zelda game excluding the Cdi games would be Zelda II beacuse it's gameplay is not like traditional zelda style and the game is really hard.

Technically, the first Zelda game is essentially most other Zelda games. The only difference was really the graphics. :/

And if you're using "horrible graphics" as a reason, you may as well say that 80% of Pokemon games are bad, because their graphics were always 20 generations behind. :)

On topic: I dunno. I've not played too many in my lifetime. I'm not a "HUGE" Zelda fan. The second one kinda sucked, though. Didn't seem very Zelda-ish (played it on the Gamecube collector's disc my brother didn't want. :<).

Yeah, I'd have to say the second one. IMO, it was pretty hard and as said above, it could've been more Zelda-like.

Well, to be fair, there was extremely little story and dialogue, and you'd always start at the same location when you load a file (though, Zelda II has these same flaws, you could talk to townspeople and there were even a few side-plots involving them which would net you some new magic spells once completed. The first Zelda's world map was also a real b*tch to navigate, while Zelda II had several roads you could safely walk along, so starting at the North Palace wasn't as much of a problem in my opinion. Towns and caves also made for some change in scenery). But it's liable to be given the benefit of a doubt just for being the first game in the saga.

Others will say them, but have never played them, I have played them so I have a right to say this. The CDi games are the worst, but you should all play them (as a side note, Wand of Gamelon was not the worst of the 3, even though everybody thinks it was) once you have played these utter piles of crap, a game the callibur of Ocorina of Time looks somehow even better in comparison. Has anyone else here actually played them? Or am I the only one so "lucky"

pokemon has the battles, a lot. zelda characters are dots and dont move much eccept for a sword and items. and it was for a bigger system. pokemon games had more color and action (which is weird cuz it is a rpg). the battle scenes in pokemon are cool along with attacks, so dont compare the graphics.
on topic, the first zelda game is not good (IMO) because the storyline was good (and about the same) but the graphics didn't come close to the plot of the game. so there. :p

I didn't like the Adventure of Link. Sidescroller is defintely not how Zelda is supposed to be played. The game is supposed to evolve exploration while Adventure of Link copied Mario's layout thinking it would increase sales.

Have you seen Red and Blue? Or Yellow, which had "color"?

Yeah, side scrolling isn't exactly Zelda's style..Battling enemies just didn't seem as fun.

the first. ick.

No love for the game that revolutionized games? Harsh. The Legend of Zelda is a gem, easily a top 10 game of all time. Zelda II Link's adventure, well, put simply is for real gamers, it was kinda a game to judge how good you really are at games, like a test, if you can't beat it you suck and should probably start playing games like Big Bird Bounce, if you can, than wait for Link to the Past, that will be a fun time for you. (Not my Opinions, just what I think the game designers thought.

The worst Zelda game. TWW. It was too short, and Miyamoto admitted to being lazy about it. The Triforce Quest at the end was terrible, as it was freakin' hard to actually get or find them. The graphics were great, though, and there wasn't that much dungeons to play in.

And to the people who say MM sucked: I laugh at you for hating it because it introduced a new concept of the three day cycle.

I thought The WindWaker was really good. >>; It was the first I really got into and I thought it was really long and lots of dungeons and stuff. Just because it was hard to do the Triforce Quest doesn't mean it was terrible, does it? That makes it an RPG...right? How was it short? I actually thought it was longer than some of the others I've tried....maybe I'm stupid...>>;

I didn't like Zelda II. I didn't like that it was a side-scroller and it wasn't as good as the one before it. Definitely my least favorite Zelda.

Ha ha, dear, trust me, most of the Zelda games are longer than TWW. Just look at ALttP. That game is way longer than TWW. And I didn't say that the Triforce Quest makes it terrible, I meant that the quest really frustrated me and it p-ssed me off.

It would piss you off wouldn't it. xD I only played that one and some of the older one, unforunately...but I guess I could see your point. But there are some good games and some bad games...*shrugs* TTYL, Luke. ^^
