Would Microbe-based Pokémon Work?

I made a joke topic about this on GameFAQs, mainly for a reaction.

A while back, when I was in 6th grade, I made up a bunch of terrible Pokémon, some of which were based on Microorganisms (the Euglena and the Paramecium).

If Game Freak ever run out of animals to make Pokémon out of, could they look to Microbes? After all, there are billions of those things on the Earth.

A Water/Grass Euglena, or a Poison/Dark Virus (I'm thinking the one with the ball, stem, and leg-like structures) could be some ideas.

This may be a terrible idea, but I want to hear you opinions.

Last option too... Yeah, but it will destroy the hole idea, of "Animal like pokémon" for ever... But since they already don that, anything is plausibel... Stupid answer... But i triede... But i think it's a good idea...

Pokemon aren't all based off of animals anyway. They're not even all based off of living things. Take Magneton for example. It's based on a...magnet.

I don't see why they shouldn't make Pokemon based off of microbes.

Hey it would be kinda cool, but those Pokemon should be like 3-4 inches

Microbe Pokemon would be too minute to actually see, unless they were done larger than their real-life counterpart, as is the case with Ariados. But that would mean they wouldn't actually be microbes any more, since a microbe is classified as a microbe because of its size.

I believe what he meant by Microbe Pokemon was that their design would simply be based around microorganisms. I think it would be interesting to see such a development occur.

I don't think that they'd ever make a whole batch of them. I think that at most they would do one or two.

Isn't Ditto somewhat a Pokemon based on Cells that make up living things? Same as Mew. The Mews stretched their (there's three+ Mews) cells, to create non-legendary Pokemon.

Gamefreak can make big ones, about 08 inches or something like that

That's pretty much what the Pokerus is. A microscopic Pokemon, too small to be of use to battle, so it doubles EV's instead. :D

That's what I was thinking.

I doubt they'd call them microbes though. They can still be based off of them without actually being micro-organisms.

Yes, that's what i was talking about.

But I agree that they shouldn't be too big, or it would defeat the purpose of being base on those things.
