Would Morrison Have Won

We all know Ash won. However, had Morrison not freaked out in the beginning and let two his Pokemon get knocked without even a struggle. Would Morrison have won?;025;

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Hm, even if he was battling normally with Girafarig and Growlithe, Corphish probably wouldn't have much trouble taking them down.

Morrison started battling normaly since Swampert, so I don't think it'd make much of a difference.

What if he started with Swampert.;025;

Then Ash would have sen't out a different pokemon probalay. But in that sense Morrison would have won. And a Glalie cannot take down a Metang like that.

The anime isn't confined to the rules of the game. So it is possible for Glalie to take down Matang with a spinning headbutt.

Anyways, seeing how Morrison started to battle normally with his third Pokemon I doubt it would make a difference if he battled normally from the start.

If you remember Morrison sent out his Pokemon after Ash because he didn't like the idea of battling him.;025;

Anything would have taken out Growlithe. Who knows how powerful a Girafarig can be in an anime battle?

Of course Ash still would have won! He had to win to go on and face Tetsuya...

As for Pokemon wise, his Girafarig didn't look all that strong or sturdy, thus could be taken out quite easily. Growlithe would be taken care of by Corphish with or without Marrison's demands.

I think the only reason the writers could pull off that gimmick is because Morrison used his weaker Pokemon first. Let's think...Girafarig and Growlithe compared to Swampert, Steelix, Metang, and Gligar.

Ash still would have beat Morrison. Growlithe and Girafarig aren't very powerful, and Corphish is. Besides, the writers want Ash to win against his rivals.

Let us put writers aside on this one, for now.;025;

I agree that Ash still can win.Glalie should kill Gligar,and Torkoal/pikachu should kill Metang.Grovyle can kill Swampert or maybe even Steelix.

Do you mean Glalie won by luck?I don't think so.The anime is different from games.Anything is possible.Electric attacks can hit ground pokemon sometimes.Glalie killed it with a spinning headbutt because Metang didn't excepted that coming.It is a surprising attack.

Now that's Effulgent
I remember growlithe had a lot of stamina in its previous fight. I doubt though that Morrison's freak-out would have effected the battle. But who knows? Maybe that was the only way Ash could win, still doubtful.

I think it was a plot point... But I considered this too. While Girafarig isn't the most powerful of pokemon it is psychic and in the anime psychics seem to have immense strength.

Still, Ash is a bit more mature when it comes to battling and he had taken part in a few leagues were Morrison had not. Given the experience I think Ash still could have won, but it might have been a bit harder.

Ash would've won for sure, but it's might've been harder. I mean, girefarig is a pretty strong Pokémon, although Morrison's didn't seem all that powerfull or anything. Growlithe was kinda weak too...but I have a soft spot for Growlithe ;058;

the rest was powerfull, but I think that corphish wouldnt't have had much trouble with the first 2 Pokémon even if Morrison would've given it all from the start.

Mawile XD

ello thar
Ash would've won anyway. The Girafarig looked weak, and Corphish could take out Growlithe in a few moves. Morrison's freak out made no difference in the battle's outcome.

I don't think he would have won...the experience Ash has would probably get the better of Morrison in the end. And a Growlithe honestly couldn't do much on Ash's team.

Argh, I'm suffering from broken record syndrome.

Its possible Ash may have lost the match because it ended up 1-0. Thats why I would love to see him return and face Ash once more to prove Ash is really stronger.
