I would have to say yes it would. Why Max and not Brock? Because Max has taken over all of Brocks interesting character traits. His knowledge, and teaching of Ash and co. has all been given to Max (as well as navigation). If Max was out of the picture, Brock would be more then just a lover and cook.

Sure the show might be better off without Max because he is really annoying (if not arrogant) towards Ash and the others (especially in his debut ep). But then again, Max knows much about mainly Pokemon attacks and even though he has no Pokemon of his own, he has used Ash's Corphish and Max's Munchlax and even befriended Shuppet, Ralts and Jirachi. So maybe Max shouldn't leave the show.

I voted Yes because usually he just takes up space though every so often he's useful and when he is it's pretty good, like the Ralts ep.

Well, I stopped watching the show about two months ago, and back then, Max did absolutly nothing. What I'm saying is that if Max left, nothing would change. People would barely notice. He never had a large roll, so there's no real reason to keep him. He's just like a mindless filler character, but he's in every episode. Unless something happened in the past eight episodes that I don't know about, which is incredibly unlikely.

I say yes, better him than Brock I say. I mean I don't like either characters really now, but I like Brock a little better than Max. Like others before me have said Max does nothing and is irrating to me.

I guess Japan likes their lolicon, because Max is suprisingly popular over there. That's what leads me to believe he'll stay on the show with his sister.

Max brings his own brand of humor to the show that I like. He can be pretty funny at times, especially when he goes on about May. It's also been interesting to see him change from criticizing his sister and how she handled pokemon to being just as much of a supporter as Ash and Brock. I do think that Max probably should go off to start his own journey, if only because he should be coming of age, but I do like him on the show.
