Would you say Castform and Arceus are fire-type?

I'm trying to collect all the fire pokemon, and am unsure if the two mentioned above would be classed as fire-type. The pokedex on this site says Arceus would count as fire-type (with flame plate on of course), and Bulbapedia says Castform would count as fire. What do you think? Who else could be classed as fire?

Also, would it be wrong to hack an Arceus? I don't think there is any legit way to obtain him.

No, I wouldn't consider them to be Fire-types, but Normal-types.

As for obtaining Arceus, there was an event distribution last year or the year before. So far, that's the only legit way. However, you may soon find that it'll be available via Global Link, due to the recent poll.

If they are used in the right way (I.E, Arceus is holding the plate and Castform is in the sun). Then they count as fire types, have all the same resistances, weaknesses etc. so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't qualify.

Arceus can count as a fire type pokémon if it is holding a fire plate. Castform however I wouldn't say that it is a true fire type since you can only activate it during battle only.

No it isn't wrong to hack for it proving you don't try and cheat it stats or teach it move that it can't learn.

That is for 5th gen only.

Both are normal types but can change their type to fire via their respect effects(Kecleon goes into this group as well.) If you count those as fire types then you may as well count porygon(conversion moves change its type), Ditto(transform/imposter), and smeagle(conversion and transform.)

Arceus yes because you can have it as a fire type without being in battle. But Castform,no because it can only be a fire type in battle.
