You have to admit they were ash's strongest team in the whole series.They were trained right with Sceptile,Swellow and Corphish standing out and having the most battles.Why waste time catching new pokemon when Sceptile could just come and sweep everyone.Ash's Hoenn pokemon are beast and thats why Hoenn had no flaw unlike the other seasons.Discuss

I have to disagree, I think his DP team was way more powerful and balanced.
His Hoenn Team was strong too, but they've already had more than enough screentime.
Ash going back to using that team would be overkill.

Hmm, I'd say it evens out a bit, but an edge to to the Hoenn team. I gotta give it to them. That was the first "From Scratch" team Ash raised since Kanto, and he did very well in the Hoenn League with just that team. And mind you, Ash didn't need to call on his reserves unlike how he did for the Sinnoh league, so I think his AG team is stronger.

Exactly my point. Why capture new Pokemon, train them from the beginning when Ash can just use his stronger reserve Pokemon. But you know, people argue that using his same old Pokemon would not only ruin the balance in the anime, the regional Pokemon won't get showcased that much as well.
By the way, Ash shouldn't be using all Hoenn Pokemon as he has some Kanto/Johto Pokemon as well that are as equally strong or stronger. And don't forget Charizard!!

"Ash should use all his old Pokemon and never get new ones!" threads are bad enough when they're pining for his Kanto and Johto Pokes, but now Houen's old enough for nostalgia goggles? I feel old.
At any rate, this isn't going to happen ever because the writer's core interest is advertising the games, and they can't do that when Ash doesn't catch any new Pokemon. And this thread isn't going to stay open because 1)it's stupid, 2)it's completely pointless, and 3)it's already devolving into arguments over which regional team is strongest.
