Why was wasnt Blastoise changed into a water/steel type? Wouldnt it make sense since his water cannons on his back look steel? They do to me.

Blastoises cannons are just his primary way of attacking, which is to fire water at other pokemon.

Plus, don't you think it'd be a bit useless to have a Water/Steel pokemon as it would make it pretty much useless when you are going against Fire Types.

The idea of a Water/Steel would be nice. But having Blastiose be such a type? Not quite expected. The idea would be kinda pointless in battle, raising defense summat and a good resistance to electricity, but fire would actually put some damage to it, so...who knows? It could happen.

No, Steel isn't resistant to Electric. In fact, Steel Attacks are weak against Electric types.

Nay. It wouldn't make sense. Every other Steel Pokémon has a full steel body. Not just a part... =/

Actually, that's not entirely true. Rukario is Steel/Fighting, but I don't see any steel part on it's body, I'd don't think Mawile does either, except that mouth thing on it's head.

Anyways, no I don't think Blastoise should be Water/Steel for reasons already stated.

I'd love to see a Water/Steel pokemon, but Blastoise for one? Nah, I don't think so. It works just fine for Water types.

I guess I could see it the way you describe it. Just a little though...

Electric attacks do normal damage against Steel-types.

Water/Rock would make more sense. Look at that shell!

But, I guess anything can happen. How did JIRACHI get Steel??? 0_o

Oh. Okay. Yeah, Steel attacks aren't very effective against Electric-Types.

Nothing to be done
Those cannons are made of bone/shell material, not steel. And giving Blastoise a Steel/Water combo just throws a plethora of problems at him. You want to make Blastoise worthless? Then go ahead and add Steel type to his resume.

That hasn't been confirmed though has it?
