Anyone remember this thread? I'm restarting it. Anyhow, this is for listing moments and/or episodes in anime that were just plain weird or unexpected.

OK, here we go.

Pokemon

~That "Tower of Terror" episode back in Kanto.
~The Unown episode in late Johto, where they went into Larvitar's mind.

Can't think of any more for Pokemon at the moment.

Yu-Gi-Oh

Well, the whole show is pretty weird, but I'll mention some of the really bizzare ones.

~That episode real early on where Yami Bakura is first seen, and they're doing that shadow game where they're all their favorite monsters. What were they smoking when they though of this?
~The entire virtual world season. I never liked that one.
~There was a lot of weirdness in Waking the Dragons. (as well as a lot of character torture) Especially during the final duel *coughbubblescough*

And I can't think of any more for this either.

Megaman

Can't think of much for this show, but I do remember one thing:

~There was one episode where Lan's dad found a way to connect the real world with the cyber world or something like that. But there were a bunch of viruses and all that junk coming into the real world. That was...odd...

And while I haven't seen very many episodes of Naruto, the first one I saw (the second one) was just disturbing.

Also in Paranoia Agent when the fat guy/chief(forgot his name) went to this place where everything was made of cardboard except for him. Even the townspeople O_O

I can't remember the guy's name, but seeing that giant with the deformed face was just WTFage. This was in Samurai Champloo. I think the episode has been rerun a few times.

When I first heard the dubbed One Piece opening (the crappy rap, not the dubbed version of "We Are"), I just stared at my screen for a good five minutes, trying to make sense of what I had just seen. So that was a WTF moment for me.

Others would include seeing the dubbed DBGT and DBZ Uncut openings.

-When watching the beginning of Really Really Relicanth, only to find out about the title change to The Relicanth Really Can.
-When the Trainer Choice F*CKED up and said Arbok evolved into Seviper

-When Sesshomaru let Rin follow him
-Miroku just not giving up on Sango's butt on Mt. Hakurei

Ah do declare his name was Oniwakamaru. And I think I only remember that because it's the second best name to say EVER. The first is Shishiwakamaru.

Um, a WTF moment would be in Last Exile, when Sophia threw a curve ball and [spoil]kissed Claus on the mouth. And it wasn't the chaste sort, but neither was it french[/spoil] and I did go, very loudly, "WTF?!"

-When "Rock the Dragon" played instead of CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA.
-When nearly all of episode 1 was cut out.
-When "Next Dimension" came in a few episodes after death was mentioned.
-Nearly every Saban cut and edit made.
-FUNimation's voice actors taking place of the Ocean's Group.

When I first got into DBZ, it was through regular bootleg VHS tapes (with no subtitles, mind you). At my age, I didn't know there was even a manga out. So here's what made me WTF while watching the Japanese version..

-Dodoria killing Cargo.
-Freeza transforming into his final form and killing Dende.
-Freeza surviving the Genki Dama and killing Kuririn.
-The "Mysterious Young Super Saiyajin" making quick work of Freeza, his men and his father.
-Vegeta having become a Super Saiyajin.
-Super Saiyajin Vegeta being beaten by a woman after all of his bragging.
-Cell surviving and regenerating after the Shukan Idou Kamehame-Ha (even though that SHOULD have killed him, due to the explanation later).
-Perfect Cell surving his own explosion and coming back, killing Trunks in the process.
-Goten and Trunks being able to go Super Saiyajin easily..and Goten not even knowing how to fly yet.
-How weak everyone else was compared to the Saiyajin in the Buu saga.

Fullmetal Alchemist
-Shou Tucker using his daughter and dog as his experiment.
-Armstrong's appearance (XD).
-Scar's murderous streak.
-Barry the "Cross Dressing" Chopper.
-[SPOIL]Fuhrer King Bradley reveals he is the Homunculous, Pride.[/SPOIL]

It's a speech quirk of his. He says "Dattebayo" in the original, which is relatively the same thing. Just like how Haruka ends most of her sentences with "kamo" or how Nyassu will sometimes begin a sentence with "Nya."
