Okay, so I was looking through my dex just now.

Some of the pokemon are really small for the HMs they can learn.

Azurill is eight inches and can ferry you across water. Pidgey is no bigger, and can fly you from town to town.

Megayanma is about 7 feet long and can't fly.

Yeah o_o;;. Ever wonder about that?

Yeah, it doesn't make sense, and I don't think it ever will. ;

At least Golbat a Zubat get Fly, now... Also, I don't see how all these Pokemon could Surf (Rhyhorn and Ramard for example), and others can't (Magikarp).

it is totally wierd how azurill is 8 inches tall AND normal and can ferry me (120 lbs) across the water. *lifts leg to avoid getting it bit off by a shark*

Well, if you think about it, a huge animal like Rhyhorn or Nidoking could dog-paddle across the water with you on it's back. Magikarp's just...really lame. XD

I guess, but they are weak to the Water type (Rhydon being 4x weak). And if they could do it, why can't Pokemon like Jynx learn it? Plus, in the racing episode during the Indigo League, Rhyhorn sunk. (I know that the anime is different fromt he games but w/e).

I can understand poke like Rydon, Aggron, and Tauros being able to surf - they're big and can float. But poke like spearow who can fly makes no sense o_o;;

I wouldn't trust flying on anything less than my height XD;;.

What about crabs/crustations? They are normally on the BOTTOM of the ocean, not at the surface.

But it really is ridiculous. A Marill is a bit over a foot tall, has 1 cm. pawsa, and yet it can propel itself in water fast enough to zip over waterfalls with a gigantic weight on its back! Go, my 1-foot diameter fluffball! Make me pruod!

But EVERYTHING does that to Team Rocket.

Also, in Special, Bill rides his Farfetch'd like a skateboard. Maybe that's how you're supposed to fit on the smaller birds.

I think when they use surf, they use the surf attack to make a wave and pushes them to move and they are strong to carry us because they are pokemons...
When they use fly I think you can ride on their back if they are big ones but if they are small ones I think you can just hold on to their legs and feet and they will use all their strength to fly with heavy loads...
...maybe even though a pokemon is big doesn't mean he/she/it can fly normally with a great weight on its back...hehehe
