How do i evolve wurple into cascoon. I checked the pokedex and it said it evoles with a personality rating. what does that mean.

Personality value is random, and is set when you catch it. Just keep capturing Wurmple until you get one that will evolve into the right one, or better yet, just catch a Cascoon.

it means how you train it and it depends on if its male or female thats what i think but i might be wrong

It's just completely random. Either try evolving a Wurmple and hope for the best, or just catch a Wild Cascoon in Petalburg Woods.
