Mutation: Shape-shifting. Has to see the actual animal living or dead to 'see' its DNA to duplicate it. Flaw in the transformations is that the tail of the creature she transformed into stays with her. Can't change into other people.
Appearance: Link has a dancer's body, but not intentionally. Due to having the metabolism of multiple animals, she processes food differently than most making her incredibly skinny and giving her a massive apetite. Her untransformed body is about 4'5 [SHORTIE] with very long and messy black hair and hazel eyes. She of Philipino-descent, giving her a somewhat asian look to her. Since she is still new with her abilities, sometimes more than the tail will be "leftover" from her transformations. After being chased out by her clothing choices have been limited. At the time of her arrival at the academy, she's wearing ratty shoes, a camoe hoodie, and some torn jeans with a hole for her tail.

Personality: Carefree and absent to an annoying extent, Link is one of the most forgetful people around; evident when she keeps leftovers of her previous transformations without knowing. But, her whimsical anture isn't such a bad thing. She's accepting of others because she knows she's not one to judge. And she easily impressed; ESPECIALLY by mutant powers. She's actually proud of what she is, and she wouldn't get rid of her abilities for the world.

But... She's hiding something. After her life of ease and happiness, getting kicked out by her parents traumatized her somewhat. Because of that, she gave up religion entirely and becomes edgy whenever someone speaks about her parents or the Church. She's hurting on the inside, but she's trying to hide it until it fades away.

History: At one point; a normal girl. Well... if you consider being begrudgingly rich to be normal. Her father inhereted a fortune from his British parents and curated a successful natural history museum. Her mom was just a socialite that knew how to invest the money and banked for the family. She also sponsored a large zoo in the area. All this because Link had a fondness for animals. Link realized this indulgence was a little much and she hated her every whim being catered to with money. She just wanted to live like everyone else. Her parents were devout Catholics and so was she. They grew up with great values as told by the Pope. But when push came to shove, Link saw her parents for what they really were...

A few days before she turned 13, Link went through a bad growth spurt. She was so sore she couldn't get out of bed in the morning. Her parents let hre rest, but when they heard screaming and groaning coming from her room, they rushed to her side. They found her on the ground, her bed and floor covered in various claw marks and a cat's tail popping out from the back of her PJs. The parents thought she was demon-pocessed and called the cops and an exocist. They locked her in her room until the authorities arrived. Link kept a close ear at the door, listening to all the "demon"s "devilspawn"s "not our child"s that were being spouted about her. When they came into her room with the priest, not knowing that she had been listening, Link was SUPER angry. They had a massive arguement before her father and the priest physically attacked her. Not knowing what else to do, Link leapt from her window with the shouts of "don't come back" chasing after her.

She left to stay with her uncle on her mother's side in western LA. Her uncle wasn't rich like her parents, but a kind and hardworking man. But he didn't share his sister's views on religion or on parenting by spoiling. Once he saw her mutation and heard her story, he wasn't surprised or scared. He knew what mutants were and he was more tolerant that most. He took Link in and cared for her as best he could. Not wanting to be a burden on her uncle, she left for the academy the first chance she got.

As a note before you read my app, I actually did a test to see what power I should give Katherine. So yea. Her power is mine.

Name: Katherine Dersepe

Code-Name: Astara

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Mutation: Astral Projection;
She can leave her body for short period of time. Whilst out of body, she can see, hear and smell things, but she is intangible and cannot yet pick something up. When projecting, she is attached to her physical body by a small line. The line will get longer as she trains the power more.
As of the beginning of the RP, if you touch her physical body, she snaps back.
Later on, she’ll be able to attack as an astral projection.
Also, as a note, she sort of hovers as an astral projection, but can’t turn invisible. Yet.

Appearance: Katherine is a girl of short height, standing just shy of the five foot mark. Her skin is tanned, with plenty of freckles. Her eyes are a shade of grey that often looks like silver. Her hair is dark as night, left long and flowing so it reached about halfway down her back.
She usually wears her old school uniform from Australia – a white dress that reaches just past her knees, plaid with purple and blue. She has slightly adjusted it with a blue ribbon so it is tightened around the waist. She wears all black sneakers, and wide rimmed glasses that are too large and make her eyes look massive.

As Astara, she wears a light weight black suit, which clothes her from neck to feet. She exchanges the glasses for black contact lenses, though will still use the glasses. She keeps the black sneakers, and now dons silver gloves that reach her elbows. She has her hair underneath a purple bandanna.

Personality: Katherine is a very ‘think before you act’ sort of girl. She over analyzes every detail before she makes an action, and as such she has issues acting on impulses, other than strong ones like ‘duck’ and ‘run for your life’. She keeps up the pretence that she knows everything, which can anger people since she really doesn’t. She doesn’t mind, though. As long as she isn’t bullied. But she’s more eager to learn than anything.
However, she is also somewhat dreamy, sometimes zoning out in thought. Since her mind is always active, that would appear odd. But sometimes she simply gets so deep into analyzing something that she forgets the original cause for thinking about it. As such, she can’t help it. She just likes thinking and imagining too much.
She is essentially friendly, but easy to get annoyed at.

History: Katherine was born and raised in the sunshine and sporadic weather of Melbourne, Australia. She loved being outside, and being free, so she often lazed in the sunshine, resulting in her deep tan. In fact, most of the time she was outside, reading a book or shooting some hoops. Her father taught her how to play basketball, and she loved it.
School was a breeze. She handed in her work on time, studied for tests and was generally thought of as a teacher’s pet and a nerd. She was neither. She merely wanted to get good marks so she’d be more set for high school.
However, at high school, things took a turn for the worse. Her power randomly activated when she was about to go to class, and all her books fell on the floor with a crash. The person behind her rammed into her suddenly still form, bringing her back with a start. It later activated during Food Tech, causing several accidents throughout the kitchen, namely someone spilling boiling vegetable oil all over themselves in panic.
She was subsequently expelled.
Her parents had an argument about what to do with Katherine, and they eventually came to a decision; move to America, where her father – American by birth – knew some friends who specialized in weird happenings like this.
Once there, the family was encountered by Edwin James, who said he had heard of Katherine’s condition and could help her, by sending her to his small establishment.

Mutation:
Leo's abilities seem to be psychic in nature. He can animate objects and cause them to come alive; the objects respond to his will. He can also read a person emotions and possibly influence them as a form of mind control with enough effort. Leo's other ability allows him to create illusions in an individuals mind.

Appearance: Leo is a tall and attractive young man; he is slightly less than six feet in height. He is of African descent. He has a broad shouldered and slightly muscular build. He isn’t extremely brawny, but he stays in shape by playing sports on occasion. He has short black hair that is styled into a crew cut. Leo has light brown skin and a chiseled facial structure. His high cheekbones and full lips make him stand out and hint at mixed ancestry. He has almond-shaped, eyes that are the color of coffee. His thick eyebrows frame his eyes, but they are not unruly. Leo has facial hair that is starting to come in along his chin, but he often just shaves it off.

Leo tends to wear clothing in earthy tones. Currently, he is wearing a pair of tan slacks tucked into a pair of dark brown boots. On his upper body is a thin turquoise sweater under a dark brown jacket. His belt is the same color as his jacket.

Personality: Leo tends to maintain a calm exterior a majority of the time, but he does get visably upset or flustered on occasion. Although he is often indifferent, he will check in on his allies. He has a logical mind set and is fairly reliable. Leo usually comes off as being blunt and direct when speaking. He is a natural at mediating disputes which is probably due to his abilities. Leo can be a bit impatient when concerning simple-minded people and can be quite sarcastic about it, but he's sarcastic a lot of the time, anyway.

He is quite thoughtful and responsible as well. Leo is fairly intelligent and crafty. He values intelligence and education over most things. Despite his stoic demeanor, Leo is not one to be trifled with. If he is pushed too far he will unleash his wrath on those who have provoked it. Leo is definitely proud to be a mutant, and he will never say otherwise.

History: Leo was adopted by a wealthy couple that was unable to have children. The orphanage that he comes from doesn’t know anything about his past. Leo just showed up there as an infant. There was just something about him that the family found endearing. He enjoyed the luxuries of life provided to him, and he lived a fine life.

As Leo was going through puberty, strange things would occur to him and around him, things like people being terrorized by books and other inexplicable events. His parents didn’t understand what was going on and were extremely confused. He was quickly withdrawn from high school and has received home-schooling for the past year. His parents searched for doctors that could find a way to “fix” him, but no one knew anything. They want to examine Leo. He wasn’t as terrified as his parents, because he thought that this was the best thing that could ever happen to him. In order to avoid being tested on by scientist he decided to run away from home. It wasn’t the best idea, but it bought him some time.

Leo has been gone for a few months, but he was quickly found by Prof. James. Leo was wary about joining him, but after realizing that the Professor was a decent man he accepted the offer to join him. Plus, a warm bed and free food was always nice to have.

Name: Marcus Jones

Code-Name: Lupo Figlio

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Mutation: Wolf-man transformation, able to run 50 mph on all fours, minor superstrength, hightened senses, and minor rejuvenation. The transformation is only emotionally based, mostly anger, he's still willing to learn to do so on will. He is also able to use his extra sensory in human form. The transformation is destructive on his body and if hurt enoug he will revert to human and become unconsious, leaving him vulnerable. Another downfall is he will come under bloodlust at times making himself a threat to anyone he can harm around him due to his senseless and violent actions.(Has also become skizophrenia from the mutation, hearing a voice not his own in his mind, which causes his head to burn and cause him terrible pain.)

Appearance: With his mutation Marcus has gained an athletic physique (more in the lower body then upper body.) His facial features include deep honey-yellow eyes (uses thin sunglasses to cover these when human and in public.), a tight face (due to the snout that grows in the transformation, see next paragraph for more detail.), dark brown hair that goes over his eyes in the front and a little under his ears in the back, a crooked nose, extra canines next to the ones on the top and the bottom, and pointied ears. You'll usually find him in shorts and a tee with some form of witty wording on it and extra body hair on the arms and legs.
In his wolf-man form he has dark black fur and grows from 6"1 to 7"0 in height and grow more muscle all around his body. His bone strucutre grows with his height and a snout forms itself from his jaw and face bones and extends out and a tail forms as his spine extends through the tailbone. His legs are double jointed and the knees bent forward. The nails on the toes and fingers sharpen into claws. His canine teeth extend into fangs and his ears grow longer and more pointed. His honey-yellow eyes become bloodshot. His uniform is where he wears a long trenchcoat for if he ever transforms with clothes that'll be ripped.

Personality: Marcus is a good-hearted guy who's willing to listen to orders and do what he can to help whoever. His personality is split though due to his mutation giving his skizophrania, making him at times act aggressive and hostile at anyone. His good heart is also a downfall due to it leading him to be decieved and hurt multiple times,and being bullied also making it hard for him to be secure about who he is.
He is quick to try to make a bond with a person he feels he can has a potential friendship with, making him quick to ask personal questions. He is known to bottle his feelings. He also has depressional phases from his insecurities, which are harming to him as he turns to drugs or alcohol for a way to kill his pain. When under any influence he becomes more rude to people he cares about. In the end though, Marcus is willing to give everything to make people happy.

History: Marcus grew up most of his youth in a small town in north Texas, living middle class with his mother and father, (not paying much mind to the mutants of the world), until his mom died in a car accident when he was twelve, since then his father had become a depressive alcoholic and turned away from his son, influencing Marcus to do the same with his troubles by turning to drinking and drugs as well. He grew up his entire school life with his friend Jessica, who he has developed feelings for over the years. Both are juniors into their high school years, but both have taken seperate paths, Jessica taking the path of popularity and dating the high school quarterback, and Marcus living the years as a lone wolf unless talking to her, his grades are slightly above average with the occaisional "A" in the mix. Marcus hated Jessica's boyfriend, not because he stole his childhood sweetheart, but because he cheated on her constantly. One day during school Marcus noticed them talking, Jessica confronting him over the affairs, leading him to slap her and putting her on the floor. His bottled emotions then all let loose and a demonic anger took over, his green eyes reverted to their yellow as he transformed into a furry dark black being in front of everyone. He then went and took her boyfriend in hand and dug his claws into his throat, bouncing from wall to wall as blood trailed them. Jessica followed the trail to find her boyfriend's clothes shredded with clawmarks and his throat covered in them as well. She looked at Marcus with terror and he stared at her with heavy guilt, he ran past her and from the school, unknowing what to do. As he reached his home he reverted to his human self and passed out on his living room floor. He awoke hours later to his dad drunk in the living room with a message.
"Some high class snoot came by earlier asking for you."
Marcus was concerned, thinking it had to do with what he became,"What'd he want?"
The words stumbled from his dad's drunk lips,"something about asking you to some academy or something, I don't know....th...there's a note he left on the counter for you."
He heard is father rant drunk as he read over the note. It read that an institute was accepting students with his "abilities" and was signed by a Professor James. Marcus quietly went into his room and took a small bag and packed it with whatever clothes would fit and a picture of him and Jessica as kids and made his way to the address on the note, wanting to find out what he can do with what he knew was a mutation, but to him seemed like a curse.
