When you meet the shadow leader how do you beat him?

I always use shadow Pokemon. Leave an empty spot open so after you snag XD001, you can use it against Greevil. I personally weaken his Pokemon with Shadow Half and try to snag them all in the same battle (And succeeded both times I did this).

I do the same exact thing.

 

[De HotShot Mon]

The best Shadow Pokemon to use are: Swellow, Electabuzz, Salamence, Marowak and Lapras.

First try to snag these pokemon from Ardos and Eldes.

Second Replace your current team members with those pokemon.

Third Snag Lugia from Greevil and Fourth snag to the bitter end.

If you have Shadow Lugia, you can whittle away at his health with it. I used a shadow Lapras as the partner and an Electabuzz, and got all of the shadows except for Moltres on the first try. (Stupid critical hit.)

I actually caught all six of his shadows my first time through with my regular team of Umbreon, Gardevoir, (Main fighters) Pupitar, Amapharos, Houndoom, and Sharpedo (Reserves). As always, the legendaries were the tricky ones, but they fall asleep just like any other Pokemon.

I used 6 shadows... Salamence, Manectric, Marowak, Lapras, Snorlax, and don't forget XD001
