Ok, I only have two non-shadow pokemon in my team so here they are:
Flareon (Female)
Lv. 45
Nature: Gentle
Moves:
Ember (planning on getting rid of this for Flamethrower)
Bite
Quick Attack
Smog (I need help decideing on what to replace this with, I was thinking Swagger)

Mightyena (Male)
Lv. 44
Nature: Lax
Moves:
Swagger
Bite (I was thinking Crunch)
Take Down
Poison Fang

I suggest you get a Lickitung, since it can get the Own Tempo ability (save before you snag it so you get the right ability) so you can power it up with Swagger. Pity there are no other Pokémon with that ability in XD.

- Brick Break / Earthquake (you might need Protect on another poke to go with this)

if anyone uses earthquake and neither of those two have protect you'll lose them both. mightyena really isn't that great and it's special attack sucks so don't give it crunch, it's intimidate, however, is semi-useful and might help you survive a couple physical hits. but if you're going for the colosseum you won't get far with him. flareon is decent, not great but not bad either. who else are you planning on using?

I'm not really sure (I've been training these two since I got them (These are the only two I've been rasieing)) I've been thinking I might add Sharpedo.

To be honest, you don't really need another physical attacker, and I've never played XD (unfortunately) so I don't know what to suggest up to that point, but you definately need at least one tank/sponge and a special sweeper.

you could add blissey as a special wall, there's a chansey somewhere on that island, just take some time in mt. battle or one of the colosseums and you should have it up to a good level in no time. snorlax is another good wall but would be more of a physical attacker which you dont really need. dusclops is great, and really cool too. a variety of movesets and dusclops is hard to predict what it's going to do. starmie is a good special sweeper, you could add electabuzz, salamence could go either way, you could get a grass type with roselia or something earlier, u could use gardevoir, definitely a good choice, that's about it before the island/the beginning of the island. once you make your decision post and we can rate them as well.
