Ye Olde Retro Wars

Do you remember those old Mega Drives, Saturns, Super NES, Playstation 1s, Nintendo 64s, Dreamcasts, all those consoles that were made before our modern day (well include Dreamcast in the retro list even though it IS a Now-Generation Console). Well you see, I would like to know what is your favourite console of those golden days. I would also like a reason and, if possible, a list of games that you thought made it successful.
If you can do that we can all join hands, rid cancer, destroy all barriers of hatred and war-fare, put all terrorists on a mission to eleminate barbie (or barney, one or the other) and make our make this world a place, ..... well maybe not......but at least we will dicover what a cool old console is!! right!? right!? ..........fine = P

.....is it just me, or do other people here feel old when they hear the Super Nintendo being referred to as a retro console?

Out of those listed, I guess I have to say the Super Nintendo was my favourite. But the most nostalgic old console for me would be the Atari 2600, which game me my first entry into video gaming.
