It's probably to protect EotS. Nice, cheap but very nice. Though only 7 monsters may be pushing it.

no, HAVING 7 monsters is pushing it. He needs a VERY low amount of monsters in order to BLOW through the deck in mere seconds. What this deck needs is less stall and more OTK.

Now even though I said HAVING 7 is pushing it, you do still need a couple more. Why? Well because you're using monster gate as a thin card, first of all. Second of all, its Exchange of the Spirit. Thats different from the Reversal Quiz and Magical Explosion OTK, where its CRUCIAL to run 3-6 monsters..
