If your opponent controls no cards except Defense Position monster cards, this card can attack your opponent directly.

This card is pretty good, in a Dino deck that is. The strategy I would do with this bad boy is to first bring out Big Evolution Pill. Then after that just summon the badass. I have defeated many a duelist with this guy. So don't let the low defense fool ya(it fooled me at first glance)this guy can pack a hellava punch. Espcially to a Stall deck. That is if they're playing defense only.

I give this guy a 3.5/5. Because he looks kickass and his effect is just cool like that.

This is probably the closest I've gotten to missing the COTD review.

Well, Tyranno is good, nice ATK, nice effect, but the backfire isn't good at all. That's why for a decent Black Tyranno deck, you need Giant Trunade as well as Earthquake.

2/5, for the LV7 status and the S/T backfire.

3 for ATK and effect, and 1 extra point for artwork, I cherish my ultra-rare 1st edition Black Tyranno that I pulled out of my 3rd pack of IOC
