Also, the 2006 Starter Deck will be a ready-to-play 40-card Deck, with 39 Common cards and 1 Ultra Rare card, like a Structure Deck for Beginners.

Only a fool would try teaching a new player Yu-Gi-Oh! with cards like MST, Torrential, and Breaker.

This is a TEACHING deck. Think simple.

(Simple doesn't have to mean boring. Or weak.)

UDE Dan said:
It being a teaching Deck means the reverse. It will not have Ritual or Fusion monsters - since this Deck is for beginners, and there's no need to complicate the Deck with advanced Summoning rules when the point is to teach them basic Summoning rules.

More will be posted as time progresses and light is shed on the deck.

BTW, it's scheduled for release on April 5, 2006.

It doesn't matter because you can just get the fusions from the Jaden pack For rare.

I'm not concerned with getting the Fusions, I'm questioning what kind of logic would put together an E-Hero deck without Fusions.

Yeah, it really doesn't make that much sense... they are the cards that make the decks playable.

It's simple. The deck isn't designed to be playable on level with the structures. It's to provide small children who want to get into the game with an idea about how the basics work. However if it came with random monsters then where would the attraction be for them? The point of putting in the E-Heroes is that with the exception of Bubbleman their effects are mind-numbingly simple and are cards the kids are familiar with. Thus they put them in this. In my honest opinion I think it's a great idea.

*copies and pastes as no doubt the same disscussion is going on there with no one understanding why*

Aipom is on TV now!?
The image looks fake! The new card's image is blurred and it shows like 3 old cards on the cover. Shouldn't the new structure have that GX kid on it?

@ Aquadon-no no no. Thats' not really what kevin meant. He said that (usual sarcasm) Heavy Storm is a harder card for kids to learn off of, but can benefit them when it comes to combos (emergency provisions). Why confuse a newbie with chaining and priority so early on in the game. But I don't know what Kevin is talking about. He may run the entire UDE YGO ban list and other jank like that, but he must've been really lost when he was comparing MST to H.Storm. MST is really an easier card to use.

Also, if anyone cares, the OCG Special Edition release of this will feature a Black Sparkman, that's right Edo Phoenix's.

That's because you're thinking about the fact you may be losing you're own cards with H.Storm whereas MST is overal a better card...however MST is a quick play and tbh I wouldn't be suprised if we didn't get any spell cards other than field, normal, permanent and equip.

Again remember this deck is intended for people who have never played before and thus is designed to be simple.

Hey, I know that. But the fact that he said it was easier makes me think that it's a good probability of it being a card.

I added a picture of the Japanese picture, which has a picture of Black Sparkman.

Super Aipom: WEll, it came from a Shonen Jump issue, so I'm guessing it's a mock-up. Also notice that it doesn't have a name other than Starter Deck.

I dunoo, I might have missed something but is there any difference between Black Sparskman and Sparkman?!
And I find it an awesome aidea to make this starter deck. I'm gettin' it even if I play for almost three years, just to enhance my E-Heros.

Hey, it wouldn't be the first time. After all, this is Kevin Tewart we're talking about.

@L. Hina Fan-LOL. Doesn't it always!
