Same here. I don't really know why, but I like endings which are tear-jerking or a bit of a downer. Nothing too happy. It's also to see how much sadness I can endure. So far, I've only cried to one 'sad' scene/ending/etc. Yes. I'm very lacking in the soul factor.
I am glad I am not alone.Yes. If you are writing something, it shouldn't be perfect like a fairy tale. It should have tough times, and for bonus points, a sad ending.
