You think May will get an electric pokemon?

Do you think May will ever get an electric type pokemon? I know Ash has Pikachu, but I think it is time that May get's one. All she really need's is a thunder stone to turn her Evee into a Jolteon.

I can't see her evolving her Eevee just yet, but I do see her getting an electric pokémon, as it is one thing her team lacks.

I know, she doesn't need one for battling or anything, but it's just my opinion really.

I don't think she'll evolve/catch many new PKMN now that the Kantoan Grand Festival is over. But you never know, that's just how I see it.

I doubt that any main character will have an electric type as its Pikachu's trademark to electricute Team Rocket.

If another electric type joined the group, then Pikachu will properly feel that it has had it thunder stolen from it (pun not intented).

Yeah that's a good point actually, but if they were intending to keep her on for the then it's possible she could pick up a 4th generation one. Would have to fit the description of "cute & cuddly" of course.

Sounds like the description of Pachirisu (The new electric squirrel thing). Could be a perfect pokemon for May.

I could, most likely the Parichursu thing, not Jolteon, I think that would make her team too much of a "threat" to Ash's team.

Though it would be a cool, new idea, It really might not happen, casue then that electric type could end up stealing the limelight from Pikachu. (Which wouldn't be THAT bad...)

As the writers have shown, May is allowed to have the same or similar Pokemon as Ash. If that's the case, if anyone will ever get an electric type on the show aside from Pikachu, it will be her.

I think it has to be a new pokemon IMHO, none of the current electric pokemon really fit May's personality.

Pachirisu might work we just do not know much on its personality yet.

I think Haruka getting a Pachirisu sometime in the D/P saga could be interesting, particularly if Pikachu develops some kind of rivalry with it. I mean, let's face it - Pikachu's a great fighter, but he's an utterly boring character. Constantly being in competition with a similar Pokémon that threatens to outdo him - a Pokémon owned by his trainer's best friend, even - would offer up all kinds of opportunities for character development.

It does look unlikley that May will get an electric type since it could be a rival to pikachu and Brock doesnt even have a electric type

But may getting a Pachirisu because of your reasons would make it more likely. Brock is a rock gym leader. He won't have an electric type...

But I like the idea of Pikachu in a rivalry. That gave Chikorita/Bayleef her personality...

May with a Jolteon would be awesome. XD Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and she'll catch an adorable Electrike or something. <3 I can see her getting an Electric type Pokemon, it would be nice to have at least one trainer (well, aside from Ash X3) who has a more wide variety of Pokemon elements. It would make sense too, to have the two main characters of the Hoenn generation of the anime have most of the general Pokemon types.

I'm bored of electric attacks, with Pikachu alone. Pikachu has performed basically every electric attack you can learn, so why do we need another electric pokemon in the group when Pikachu is showed more then enough?

It is a definite possibility as it would showcase the new Pokemon. However this honor most likely will go to the D/P Girl. It wouldn't surprise me however, if May could get a Pokemon with an element(s) Ash's Pokemon lack. Ex. Dark, Ghost, Dragon. ;025;

It would be cool for May to have an electric type. I guess if she were to have one I would say she should have either a Chinchou, Mareep, or Jolteon.
