You think that they bring back pokemon like Charizard

I was just thinking what if they brought back the starters for the last games so you could catch them in one game if you didn't have the previos versions. It would save money for some people who didn't own them.

i think that they should use them, but are probably going to use the newer Pokemon, like Munchlax, Bonsley, ect. it would make sense...

well.... seeing as gamefreak and nintendo are businesses...... then they aren't worried about people saving money... this so far has seen by the fact that you have to have ranger in order to get manafi. Therefore the likeliehood of catching the old starters is slim to none.

You guys know that you can transfer from Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green and Emerald to get starters right? Or you can do from Colosseum to one GBA game to the DS game. That's probably how you can get the starters. It'll be surprisingly simple. Just find someone nice on Wifi when the game comes to the point where you can trade and it viola. Shouldn't take much ddoing if you do it logically.

Edit: Also, you really shouldn't post random smilies like that.

Yes I think that they bring back pokemon like Charizard.
^LOL.
Most likely, it will be similar to it was in Ruby and Sapphire; i.e., some old Pokémon, but mostly new ones. You'll have to trade for the majority of them.

I seem to remember certain games called Gold and Silver that required backwards trading.

I think this game will have it's own new starters, and be like Pokemon Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire, only some pokemons that aren't originaly from that Region. Getting starters was needed to trade in every game, except Pokemon Yellow. I think you need to trade starters like Charizard, Venusaur etc. from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Colosseum, XD, Fire Red or Leaf Green, or if you have them in Pokemon Box [hope it's compatible]:D.

Nintendo and Game Freak can't make big money if they put every pokemon in one game, because everyone will buy that game and leave others in the junk side. So, you even need to have Pokemon Ranger in order to get Manafi, and I hope you can complete the PokeDex without it, like for Jirachi and Mew. With this I want to say, I think Nintendo will never make a pokemon game in which you can get every pokemon.

This is probably how it will work:

1.) Get Diamond/Pearl.
2.) Get your starter and get to where you can trade.
3.) Find some nice people on Wifi to get you the other two starters.
4.) Put FRLG/Emerald/RuSa into the GBA slot and send over bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle, treecko, torchic and mudkip.
5.) Breed to get the Johto starters in the GBA games and send them over.

OR You could just trade with some nice people on Wifi. That will eliminate the need to get all the games. Wouldn't that be great? I mean there more than likely be a time machine as people said.

No, they probaly won't bring back the old starters in D/P. Nintendo doesn't want people save money, they want people to spend money. But Pokemon like Pikachu and Zubat will probaly make a return.

i do think you should be able to catch starters in the wild from previous games by now, they'll just use some newer pokemon for D/P starters

You also think that PSP sucks so your opinion really doesn't matter.

But seriousely, I doubt they will. GF are so intent on making us buy every other Pokémon game under the sun to "catch 'em all". We'll have to trade with FR/LG.

I hope they won't return. Zubat is pretty annoying in caves, that made me hate it sooo much.

I hope that Nintendo brings us new annoying Pokemon.

I withdraw reluctantly.
I highly doubt they'll bring back the past starters.

They have never really done it before. True, they did bring the GSC starters to Emerald, but that was only really because there was no game that had them as starters. Colosseum and XD pretty much had them "around".

Plus, they want you to play the past games to get those Pokemon. They don't want to make it easy and simple and why should they? It would be much better for them if they have you buy more Pokemon games to get all the Pokemon.

Ofcourse you'll be ABLE to. But, in-game, can you catch them? Definately no.

Nah, i belive you will have to trade it from the past versions to this new one, remember they are said to be compatible.

Catch any starter on the free is just improbable, Nintendo/Game Freak consider those pokemon special like the legendaries and there are few of them.
