Now, I'm kind of new to posting on the forums, although I've been around them for quite sometime, but I've been wondering something. I don't know if there's another thread like this, as my searching skills as horrible, though.

What do most of you use for your early teams in FR/LG? I mean, the type of teams that you assemble to carry you through until you can start preparing for the last end of the game? Typically, up until Fuchsia City.

Nice. Most of the time, I generally have a varying team at that point. Most of the time, the only time I have something resembling a team in the early stages, is as I leave Mt. Moon.

The moment I exit Mt. Moon, I have my Starter, a Pikachu (just for the electric type for Misty), and a Nidoking & Nidoqueen. It's a habit I've had since Red, Blue, and Yellow, to take advantage of the two Moon Stones found in there right away (people tend to forget about the hidden one). Those two are complete powerhouses up until I start to create my final team.

My team in FR is bascially the same, except for Butterfree and Gloom.
Its Tyranitar and Steelix

Well right now I'm only as far as Celadon City and the Rocket Hideout. My team consists of Charmander, Nidoran, Persian and Vulpix. Although for me, the team I start off with is usually the team I end with. I don't plan on evolving my Charmander (he's currently at level 34) and I may evolve my Nidoran after a while (he's just too cute to evolve! T-T).

In general my early teams include my starter Pokemon and some of the first Pokemon you can catch in the game, like Pidgey, Ratatta, Pikachu, etc. ^^

I'm at the league and my team is Charizard, Raichu, Pigeot, Nidoking, Dragonite, and Arcanine. I've had all of them, except for Dragonite and Arcanine, since the beggining of the game.

Mine started with my Bulbasaur (I am playing a girl this time around, so I reset until I got a female starter). Then I caught a Mankey, a Spearow and a Pikachu. I used them, along with Jigglypuff and Drowzee for some time. My team is now:
-Venusaur
-Dodrio
-Flareon
-Electabuzz
-Rhydon
-Starmie

A bit off topic: I was lucky because the first Eevee I picked (without a reset) was female. As was my Lapras!

My starter, Pidgeott, Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, (I catch the birds at the earliest time I can) and one of the Eeveelutions.

^That's what my early teams USED TO be like, nowadays I just trade over a fully EV trained team and use them right near the beginning. :D
