Haruka's Beautifly vs. Grace's Medicham
This battle tends to be over-looked by many for some strange reason. It was a brilliant battle, which really showed us what Haruka was capable without having to rely on last minute cop-outs or awkward strategies.
Haruka's Combusken vs. Wild Breloom
Two pokémon beating the crap out of each other, with only their fists (?!) and feet doing the talking. Doesn't happen often enough in this humble condiment's opinion, and this certainly proved why it should be a scenario used more frequently.
Ash's Heracross vs. Shingo's Scizor
Running out of things to say at this point, but I'm sure everyone is aware of this battle and why it's one of the best.
Ash's team vs. Kaede's team
To be more specific, the second half of the match. It managed to not only give us a really nice lookin' fight, but hey! We also got ourselves a dose of comedy mixed in thanks to the resident crawdad.
Ash's team vs. Winona's Team
I like battles when they manage to weave both strategy and frantic action together, and this episode did it flawlessy. Pikachu vs. Pelipper wasn't particulary interesting, but Grovyle and Swellow managed to make up for that little bout of mediocrity tenfold.
[spoil]Haruka's Munchlax vs. Harley's Octillery
Munchlax got beaten six ways til' Sunday. Harley actually won. Need I go on? Oh ho ho, don't tempt me!
Haruka's Squirtle & Combusken vs. Shuu's Absol & Flygon
Best. Contest. Battle. EVER. Kickass animation, great pokémon combinations, edge-of-the-seat-tension so thick you could cut it with a knife...you name it, it had it. Makes pretty much all of Haruka's previous contests (both Kanto AND Houen) look like reeking cesspool garbage in comparrison.
Ash's Swellow & Corphish vs. Tucker's Arcanine & Swampert
This battle is shamefully underated, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. One of the most intense battles to ever grace the show, and despite the minor dent of Swellow and Corphish surviving a couple of powerful attacks, it was a brilliant match.[/spoil]
