I have been fond of Squirtle and Charmander since I got my Blue version.

I'm leaning towards Squirtle at the moment. I love its design, and I slightly favour water types over fire and grass types. Also, I always thought having Bubblebeam on Squirtle early on in the game was awesome for some reason.

Charmander, my very first starter. Ever since then, I always picked fire for my starter type.

Bulbasaur has always held that one, special place in my liver. I started with him in my first Pokemon game ever, Red, and so I always start him for Red. In Fire Red, though, I started with Squirtle, because I had already started with Bulbasaur in Leaf Green.

when is red ... i chosee charmander

and when is blue...i choose squirtle

but i look in the new pokedex(red fire/ green leaf) if i choose squirtle i'll be able to get raikou after i beat the elite four

Squirtle. I randomly picked him the day I got Red, and since then I have always picked the water starters. They always seem to have the greatest advantage IMO.
