Bulbasaur. Not only is it cute (Ha!) and makes the game easy to get through, it rocks when it evolves into Venasaur and level 32 and not 36. I transfered my Venasaur without cloning (probably to lazy.)

I love all the starters, but squirtle was my favorite, in both appearance and type. My favorite color is blue, and I like the coloring scheme of the squirtle evolution chain. So I vote squirtle.
