Your Favorite Trainer in the Anime

Okay, I don't mean to sound obsessive or anything, but I think Kaede is a really cool trainer. She's intelligent and strategic, and had an awesome battle against Ash. She also has a well balanced-team, and even managed to use an attack that many NetBattlers use when they are in a jam - Destiny Bond! Quite amazing, and I thought both of the episodes that featured the Kaede vs. Ash battle really were amazing.

If you can tell, I like strategic trainers. I like all of the league trainers because usually they have wider type differences in their teams and are a lot smarter than some of the normal trainers. For example, Harrison (Hazuki) and Tyson (Tetsuya).

So, who is your favorite trainer in the Anime?

Mostly contest trainers because the appeals are a unique and cool way of using attacks to make an asthetically appealing image. Also Noland for being le sex (blushes and nudges Nolands shackled hand back under her bed*. What? You didn't see anything

Drew/Shuu. Seriously. The way that he battles, it's all about the strategic plot and the way it makes him look good in the battle itself. Overall, Drew is the best IMO. And also...he looks hot when he battles. xD

I think Drew is pretty awesome, too. I think he was neat in the Japanese 7th Season Opening (The Challenger).

That reminds me, I might open a new topic about that soon... if there isn't a topic based on it already. But back on topic... I think all of the strategic fighters are awesome, especially Kaede and Harrison.

Ah, great minds think alike. :p

I think Ash would make a great trainer. He already has pretty powerful Pokemon (Heracross, Sceptile, Snorlax, Charizard), so all he needs is to become a little more intelligent and then you'd have a pretty good trainer.

My favorite Trainer that is not a main charachter was the kid who had a high pitched british accent,(Didn't sound like maddie's) I beleive he had an Umbreon, it was in the Johto arc..((not sure which of the three)) , Or he was battling gary... I forget I just remmebr how the trainer said Umbreon..

Since Clair is a gymleader, Misty is a main character (IMO), Liza is a tamer ... I decided I'd answer a bit different this time
My favorite Pokemon trainer is Chigusa. I love her looks, her outfit, her Hitmontop and the way they trainer together.

I loved Jump! I loved his Electabuzz and his psychotic personality!
I'd say Hinata and Jessiebelle but Hinata's a Ranger and Jessiebelle doesn't really train.
You did say trainer. So I chose only regular Pokemon trainers.
btw, can coordinators and gymleaders be considered trainers? Or is it just a name?

Gary himself has an Umbreon, and used it in a battle against someone. Are you sure you don't mean the guy who fought AGAINST Gary's Umbreon? Just checking, sorry.

Anybody who has Pokemon and uses them in any competitive way is considered a Trainer to me.

Don't really need to say. Anabel, of course---talking to Pokémon telepathically? Instant win. And her crushing Ash in their first match was something long overdue to happen to him.

My favorite trainer is actually Juan the Sootopolis City gym leader. He trains water pokemon, (yes I like water Pokemon), he used to win the Grand Festival, and also I like how he said he uses the water Pokemon's weakness against Electric pokemon an advantage.

And yes, I also like Katie. The battle between her and Ash was pretty cool. Also, I like her attitude. She seems to be very confident until close at the end.

My favorite trainers in the Anime are:
the members of Team Magma, Flannery('cause of her cool pokemon), and Yakeishi(from the episode "some like it hot")

I like a lot of Contest Trainers, just because I love contests! And they really are good characters!

1st place (Best of all)-Drew
2nd Place (Oh so close to being best)-May
3rd Place (Nice Try)-Harley
4th Place (Pretty good)-James
5th Place (Such a shame to put her back this far)-Flannery

So maybe not all of them are coordinators, but they're still awsome!

Jump. Cool voice, unique design, and a good battler. Fun to watch in many ways. Shame he lost so early, though.

I quite like the looks of the SalaryMan, though. Good personality.

Harley is kinda cool, too, I guess. For a recurring character, at least =/
