• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

What's the best concert you've been to and how was it?

Also, is anyone going to see a7x during their tour later this year?

Hands down, Flogging Molly.

They're not my favorite band, but I've seen them multiple times now.. the first time being on St. Patrick's Day. Their concerts always kick my ***, in a totally good way. The moshing and crowd surfing is an intense wave of awesomeness. Not to mention, the band sounds amazing live, whereas a lot of artists sound like shite outside of the recording studio.

It's a tie between Paul McCartney and Green Day. They both put on amazing shows and people were crying during songs when Paul was playing, but Green Day's concerts are really funny and hysterical.

My favorite concert I've been to was in December 2004. I saw my favorite band at the time Busted in concert and they were brilliant. I also like going to the local festivals to see all the local bands playing.

SlipKnot hands down. I've seen them twice, the first was with my older brother when I was ten; it was the first show I'd ever been too. I didn't know any better at the time but I wound up following my brother into the pits; I almost died.

Vintage much?
I have seen a charity concert called Sound Relief which was really awesome. I would have loved to seen Live Aid without a doubt.

Muse's concerts have always been awesome. Of all current bands, they seem to be the one that's most capable of actually playing really good live. Other bands mostly either playback or just fail at re-enacting the music recorded in the studio (of course, without any edits to the sound when they're playing live, it is impossible for a song to sound as good as it sounds on the CD, but Muse can make it sound even better (seriously)).

Best live show i've seen have to have been by The Black Crowes. Seen 'em a few times when they've come to the southwest of the united states, (texas, arizona, new mexico, etc). By far, the best live show I'VE seen.

Another band I've really enjoyed live was Emarosa. Jonny craig is a superb vocalist. Without a doubt, favorite vox in my opinion.

Rush. End of story. (Personally, I saw them in '07, but there is no such thing as a bad Rush concert.)

I did too, and yes, they were fantastic.

However, my personal favorite would have to be Maiden's first concert of The Final Frontier tour, opened by Dream Theater. Seriously, MIND=BLOWN
