So, I've recently been listening a lot of progressive rock and I really like Genesis' early stuff, especially Selling England by the Pound. Does anybody know of any bands/albums with a similar style?

I recommend them pretty much every time prog comes up, but Marillion. The first four albums have a different singer than the ones after, and once they change singer, they begin to go on a more alternative-rock tangent, albeit still colored by prog occasionally. Camel are also pretty good.

I like most of pop musics, but listens selectively. I like Coldplay, 30 Seconds to Mars, Rihanna, hng, anything. Really.

Oh, and I'm a fan of K-pop too, particularly Big Bang :'p

If I had to break it down to a select group, though, these would be the top-tier artists:

Talking Heads, Wu-Tang Clan, Arcade Fire, The Rolling Stones, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Flying Lotus, Pavement, !!! (chk chk chk), The Fiery Furnaces, Madlib (and his various collabs/sideprojects), Deerhunter, The Beatles, OutKast, and many many more! A mix of hip-hop, "indie" stuff, traditional classic rock with a bit of old punk/new wave thrown in, and an assortment of electronic styles.
