your first memory of pokemon

the first time i played pokemon,my first pokemon i ever used was an omanyte, it was on my friends blue version, first move i used was water gun against a tentacoo.

but the first pokemon i ever owned was squirtle

My first game was Silver, my first pkmn was a Totodile. It evolved to Croconaw and Feraligatr, and it never fainted till the 8th gym, in Blackthorn City (or how it was called). But I started accidentally over again, so now my old fellow is gone :'(

Getting Pokemon Blue while visiting Mum's friend near where I live. Mum and friend were talking about men trouble over a prawn cocktail, I was wiping Gary and his Charmander's butt over Oak's lab with my Bulbasaur. :}

At first, I threw the game in a drawer in my room. Later, when I was more intellegent, I finally realized I had to deliver the parcel to Prof. Oak. I believe my first starter was a Charmander. The first pokemon I cought was a Ratata(sp) named Bob.

My first ever game was yellow and my first pokemon that I cuaght was a pidgey. I trained all my pokemon straight up to LV. 100 then the data had disapeerd and I lost everything.

I think it was Pokemon Red and I started out with a Charmander which made it difficult to beat Brock so I had to go train. My first caught Pokemon good old Pidgey.

For me, my first great pokemon memory was sitting down to watch the show for the first time. It was late '98 and the craze was in full swing so I was curious to know what all the hoopla was about. Also, for some odd reason, I wanted to learn the names of all the cute and interesting creatures that I was seeing.

So, I figured that the best way to learn was to watch the anime, and learn I did! By watching the episode, "Ash Catches a Pokemon" I learned how and had no need for that old man just outside Viridian forest when I started playing the red version in late '99. I remember my starter being a Charmander because Charizard was, and still is, one of my favorite pokemon.

Though, I must admit that my continuous fascination with Mewtwo started early, basically when I watched that first episode from beginning to end and saw him flash across the screen at the very start of the 1st season intro. I can distinctly remember thinking; "Okaaay...there are purple space kangaroos involved?" From that moment on, I did what I could to find out the identity of that "violet alien marsupial". And even when I did find out who he was, he continued to be this mysterious enigma up until I saw the first movie.

Mine's when my older brother came home with some of those old Topps pokemon cards (not the TCG ones), and gave me one. I forget which.

watched metapod vs metapod on tv. I thought what a pile of crap. i like it.

I watched the first episode on TV, eventually got hooked, and then became a fan.

For the games, my first Pokémon was a Bulbasaur. It was on my Red Version. The first attack I made it use was Tackle.

Getting that promotional video in the mail from Toys "R" Us. I watched it, and that got me hooked on Pokémon. (Though, if you want to count it, the Porygon episode, when the seizures happened, and seeing Pikachu and Satoshi on the Today show. Yay for news. :<)

First episode I saw was "Battle Aboard The St. Anne!"

First Pokémon was Bulbasaur. First attack was Tackle. First Pokémon captured was a Pidgey.

First time I heard about it was when my friend told me, and he drew a picture of Pikachu for me.

The first episode I saw was A Chansey Operation.

Then the first game I played was Pokemon Blue. My first Pokemon on there was Bulbasaur, I'm pretty sure. I think I caught a Pidgey first, but I'm not sure. I didn't realise that you needed to buy Pokeballs to catch Pokemon until around Brock's gym...X_X

My former friend was playing his copy of Blue... I questioned what it was and found out it was Pokemon. I also remember seeing the commercials, with all the Pokemon on the bus good times.

I ended up getting a copy of Red for my birthday from my Grandmother, the November after the game came out.

I need to go find that commercial online now.
