What was the first pokemon you ever got? Basically, your answer should be some sort of starter pokemon, but that's only if you played one of the handhelds as your first pokemon game

You can also open your answer up to your first pokemon merchandise you can remember getting if you want.

This is a thread for nostalgia, at least for older players.

My first pokemon was Totodile, as I got Silver for Christmas one year and only got Blue afterwards.

I was into pokemon prior to that, just didn't have a gameboy till I got one with silver. The first pokemon stuff I had were pokemon cards. Toys R Us had a bin full of booster acks right when you walked in lol

The first pokemon I ever saw was Hitmonlee. My first in-game pokemon was Bulbasaur in Blue Version. My first card was a holo Hitmonchan. My first figures were Rattata and Raticate.
