I meant to vote Charmander, but I accidentally voted Bulbasaur instead. Ironically, Charmander precedes what I see as possibly the worst Pokemon starting chain's evolution.

My first pokemon was chikorita on pokemon crystal and still have it as meganium lv85.i got the game in 2003 it is my first pokemon game.My first pokemon on pokemon yellow is pikachu and on pokemon fireRED my starter is a charmander called ember.

Chikorita on my friend's silver. He yelled at me for choosing it as a starter and had to explain how to "properly" use it. (He was a Tyfloshion fan.) Hahaha...then he got the game back and beat it with my male chikorita which I had given a female name. *ruba back of head in embaressment* I should have checked the gender first....
