• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

Your first videogame?

I think Kirby for the Game Boy is my first video game.

Gee, I don't know. First video game that was mine and mine alone? Probably Pokémon Yellow.

But if you're talking about the first video game I ever PLAYED, that's a different story. My dad was a gamer in his early days (though sometimes I do see him play the Lego games every now and then), and we had the Nintendo 64 for as long as I could remember. So if it wasn't Super Mario Bros. for the NES, it might actually be either Yoshi's Story or Super Smash Brothers. Maybe Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, I really don't know.

I had more than one first video game but I don't remember their name, althought there was a Batman one and a Super Mario one and I don't remember the others, but they were on the Nintendo64 console.

What was your first videogame? How did you obtain it? Mine was Pokemon Yellow. I got it with a gameboy color for my 4th or 5th birthday. I have fond memories of me and my pikachu, and still have my original save file.

Really? Mine was Pokemon Yellow as well but it was on my 7th Birthday!
I also got it with a Gameboy Colour as well.

I'm pretty sure it was Secret of Mana for the SNES. I was crazy about it as a child (my mom threatened to take it away once), but I tried playing it again recently and was pretty disappointed. I'm not sure why I was ever so into it. Nostalgia freaks, proceed to light your torches and form an angry mob.

Despite my name, I did not backtrack and develop a love for the truly old school until later. When I first started gaming as a very small child, I just played what my dad and brothers had.

My first game was Mario Kart 64 and when I look back it had terrible graphics even for an N64 game.
