Your Guardian Shadow
former min beskytterskygge...

The sun peaked it's head over the horizon, spreading orange rays across the plains in front of Alexandria Castle. In the warm morning sun, the castle was made a brilliant white with a large wall surrounding the inner city and main castle. The outer city was in ruins, burnt to the ground by Dantus' armies. Along the high wall were around 400 troops, all of different races. There were humans, forest elves, dwarfs, sandmen, mermaids, magic-folk and animals of all sorts. Amongst the rubble of the outer city was Dantus' follows. An army that had waited centuries for it's revenge. Mostly, it was made of goblins but there were also many different creatures. Trolls, giants and animals of all sorts were on their side. In total there must have been well over 4000 troops down on the ground. The last stand of Terro looked bleak. They were out numbered 10 to 1 and most of their troops had no idea how to fight.

In the highest room of the tallest tower at Alexandria Castle, there was a small meeting taking place. King Bathe had given an order to all the troops to find if there were any "Shadow Warriors" amongst them. To be fair, the King had not had high hopes but it was their last attempt at success. King Bathe looked well into his sixties and as if he wanted to just retire from being King. However, to die was the only way to retire from being king in Terro. He wore his traditional robes of red with his crown perched atop his greying hair. Sitting next to him was his adviser. A giant, brown owl dressed in a waistcoat and held a set of books in his hands. He was one of the wisest wizards in the whole of Terro and felt it was his duty to be here at it's last hour. The rest of the small room was taken up by an assortment of different creatures. There were two men, three elves, a sandman, a mermaid and a dwarf. The king rubbed his eyes and turned to them.

"This is Terro's final hour," he said, in a quiet voice. "I do not expect a win but all we need is to get all the women and children into the boats and try and find a place without evil. Using your powers, Terro has a chance. You will be remembered as heroes." With that, the king nodded and sent them into battle. A battle no one thought they could win...

Alexhaur hummed a strange tune as he and the other Shadow Warriors walked down the castle hallway that led outside. So, they were going to fight. His masters had taught him how to fight, but Alexhaur had never quite taken a liking of it. But what was this part of them not having a chance? Something was not right here. If the others were as good as they looked, this wouldn't much problem. "Heroes, huh?" he muttered and stretched his arms. "Why not?"

Kit lept off Lucifer, as the enormous crimson fox faded into the elf's normal shadow once more. He followed several other creatures into a grand castle, feeling awkward, knowing underneath his garments he differed far much more from them than they realised.

His long cloth trousers dragged aginst the floor, as he entered the highest room of the tallest tower of the castle. He sat down, his feet slumoed heavily onto the table, his chair tipped back, and his swordleant up against the table next to him. He couldn't stand being in fancy places, but he put his hand over his gem.

"It's for Nadine..." he thought, as the king explained the plan. Mentally, Kit sighed. Good, she was going to be fine. As long as the enemy got their rears handed to them on a plate. Ten to one huh? Bit unfair odds, maybe they should give the enemy time to make it twenty to one.

Slim chance of winning? You're joking right? All it takes to win is the knowledge that you're not done yet, and someone's waiting for you. And Kit had both. He didn't know his full story, and Nadine was waiting on him. If he didn't come back, he'd personally damn himself for not doing so. The king sounds as if the battle's lost. But a battle isn't lost till you die, and he wasn't dead yet.

Kit grabbed his sword, and the moment they were given the order to go into the battle, he leapt of the castle's armaments, calling Lucifer as he fell. The nine tailed emon appeared below him, and caught Kit before landing safely. He stared on at the enemy forces, as he removed his beret, revealing hs fox ears, and unmasked his tail. Let the battle begin, his fate was in his hands, not theirs.

"So it's time...," thought Dazzmin. "Time to save our world from evil."
Dazzmin looked down at the small figurine in the shape of a cat that Drafff had given her.

"Dazzmin, I want you to have this," Drafff had said before Dazzmin had to go. "It symoblizes hope, strength, and courage. You will need all in great quantities."

"Does it have any luck in it? I think I'll need a lot of that as well," Dazzmin chuckled.

"Your luck is your own, sister," Drafff had said. "I will miss you and I know you will do great things. Good bye my sister." Drafff had then dismissed her to go to war.

A small tear ran down Dazzmins cheek which she hurridely had to hide from the other warriors. There was no time for tears here. She called Flash to her and climbed on. "Let's go get 'em Flash!"

Bulk walked out of the room and continued through a vast quantity of corridors. He continued waling, out into the open leaving the other "Shadow Warriors" behind. His dark hair, rustling in the wind. He walked along the main wall in absolute silence. The enemy had already started their advance but no attack had occurred yet. Along the wall were Alexandria's finest. Selected from amongst the rubble by Bulk himself, this was his patrol. He wasn't too taken with Bathe's idea of mixing him up with a group of fighters, even if they did share his extraordinary power. He climbed up onto the wall and turned back to his small squad. All wore exactly the same armour and all fought with a sword just like his own. They were also all human. The Alexandria symbol of a swan was depicted on their armour and none of them spoke. Bulk called to them.

"King Bathe, who I have trusted in these many years," he said. "Has given up all hope. He feels that this battle cannot be won. Well I say we beat these goblins just like we did at the Marshland Battle three years ago. I want to see each of you do your job for your king, your country and for me!"

His squadron roared in agreement and Bulk turned to face his enemy. They were moving fast and Bulk knew that it would be a good move for them to attack first. Bulk un-sheaved his sword and tapped it on the stone wall. His patrol took two paces forward so they were now on his level on the wall. The wall was built to be at a slight incline so that any man could easily slide down to the bottom but no one could climb back up to the top. Bulk would’ve ordered his troops to exit through the main gate but, as a plan B, all the gates were locked and could not be opened from the outside. This meant that many soldiers would not come down from the wall, in fear that they would not be able to get back. Bulk jumped down onto the slope and descended to the bottom, his patrol following without a second’s hesitation. The goblin army was about to come thick and fast and if they were not quick enough, more re-enforcements would arrive.

Litera nodded to the king with respect. She turned to leave thinking, Even a slim chance can become a victory, something her old master had tought her. Without a word she bolted down the hallway, heading out to battle once again.

Her feet carried her faster down the marble floor than any of the other shadow warriors, except the other elves, would even dare to move. This war is not lost yet. Litera thought as she streaked out of the castle.

She stopped for a second. "Former min beskytterskygge!" she lifted her hand as she shouted. The hydra lifted itself from her shadow and roared seven different battle cries. Litera leapt onto the creature and ran out into the battle, bow-staff drawn and an arrow already strung.

Alexhaur shook his head as one of the humans stormed off together with his crew and engaged battle. "Too rash..." he muttered and followed the human up to the wall where the the incline was. It was a bit too small for a SandMan, so Alexhaur used a different way. He jumped.

The descent took a half second and ended with a gracious landing on top of three goblins, feets first. Alexhaur looked around him and swallowed. He just understood why the other ones were retreating. There was indeed lots of opponents here. The sun was hitting him in the face, making his shadow appear behind him. Alexhaur swirled around, sent a massive leg forwards and shouted. "Former my beskytter-skygge!"

Alexhaurs big SandMan-shadow suddenly inflated and built itself into a creature higher than Alexhaur himself. When it reached the right size, its shadowy surface started going brown and rock-like. Massive feet, arms thick as logs, a chest the thickness of a wall and on the top a helmeted head at the size of a medium rock. The leg did exactly as Alexhaurs had done and kicked two goblins into the stone wall. The battle was on.

I am truly sorry but I feel that I do not have the time I thought I was going to have so I must resign from this RP. Maybe next time.

OOC: Fine, that's ok. If you ever want to come back, just say so in the discussion thread and I'm sure we'll be able to pop you in somewhere.

BIC: As Bulk's small squadron arrived on the battlefield; three giant trolls teared across the plain towards them. Bulk smiled, he liked a challenge. He turned back to his patrol and spoke to his second in command.

"Right, Falcon, Argon," he said. "I want to split the group into two. Falcon will lead one and Argon here will lead the other. I will go alone during this fight, as I've got to get to know the other Shadow Warriors. Falcon's group will take that left troll and Argon's will take the left. I will take the middle. GO!"

The two men split and tore off across the plain towards either troll followed by a small patrol each. As predicted, the left troll went for Argon and the other for Falcon. The third rolled straight past either group and roared at Bulk. It must have been over 30 feet tall and had grey skin. It wore little clothes but had a giant mace, which it was swinging around its head in a crazy motion. It stopped 10 meters from Bulk and roared again.

"Time for a little fun," Bulk whispered, under his breath. He pulled his sword and pointed it at the sky. Screaming, he called out, "former min beskytterskygge!"

His shadow pulled itself from the ground and took the shape of a giant T-Rex. It was a light black with green eyes and razor sharp teeth. It too roared at the troll but it only came up to its waist making it look a little pathetic. The troll giggled to itself and charged at both of them. Bulk remained still as Rex, for that was his name, charged back at the troll. As they were running, Bulk sprinted up Rex's tail and onto his head. The troll brought its mace down and Bulk jumped onto the troll’s belly, digging his sword in to hold himself on. Rex managed to avoid the hit and leapt into the air and bit into the troll’s neck. Blood spurted everywhere. As the troll screamed with pain, Bulk pulled himself onto the trolls shoulder and was digging his sword into the soft spot. Rex had since let go and was now on the troll’s head, biting at its two ears. The troll was helpless and was swinging his mace around trying to hit either of his opponents. However, he was causing more damage to himself than anything else.

Bulk was still hacking away and felt like it was time to end this. His leap across the shoulder and sliced the trolls throat. As he fell, he also dug his sword into the trolls belly and chest, helping him to slow his decent. Bu reached the bottom and starting cutting at the troll’s toes, slicing hem off one by one. As Bulk had descended, Rex had slid down the trolls face, biting at its eyes causing it to go blind very quickly. Rex then hopped down from shoulder to knee and landed as Bulk hit the finishing blow on the trolls left foot, removing it from the rest of it's body. Unable to stay balanced, the troll simply fell to the floor and died. Rex gave out a mighty, triumphant roar and Bulk wiped his blade on the trolls skin, cleaning it of blood.

"Right," he said, patting Rex on the nose. "On to the next one."

Alexhaur was just delivering a powerful volley-kick into a goblin, which flew into two others and landed on top of one who was checking his sword, when Alexhaur saw the trolls. One of them suddenly fell, making a great thump, but there was still two left, and they had split to take on some of the humans that had followed the human with the T-Rex. "Oy, trolls!" Alexhaur shouted. "Take someone your own size! Like...us!"

The Golem finished the goblin he had been punching and laid the left palm on the ground. Alexhaur jumped onto it and the Golem started walking towards the trolls. One of them noticed Alexhaur and readied to strike him and Golem with full strength, but Alexhaur jumped quickly down so that the Golem managed to duck under the powerful punch. Alexhaur ran underneath the troll's legs and concentrated all force on its left knee, which made it look down in wonder. The Golem delivered a hard kick at the troll's head, making in groan in pain, and followed it up with a solid kick to its rear. The troll fell forwards, luckily unto another group of Goblins who was planning to kill Alexhaur in the back. It was still alive, but Alexhaur left that to the humans.
