Your main Poke'mon!

Do you ever go through the game in an anime like way, pretending you are a trainer from another region exploring a new one, and do you like to catch pokemon which you use regulary, I'm sure you all catch lots of pokemon to complete your pokedex, but do you have main pokemon?
Here are mine;
Minun, Turtwig, Cyndaquil, Garchomp, Toxicroak, Swarmpert, Ivysaur, Rattata, Arcanine, Golduck, Alakazam, Sandshrew, Slowking, Espeon, Dustox, Volbeat, Pelipper, Sableye, Tropius, Aggron, Metagross, Zangoose, Umbreon, Munchlax, and Honchkrow

Now these are all the pokemon who helped me get through the games, Red/Blue was
Bulbasaur, Rattata/Sandshrew, Arcanine, Golduck, and Alakazam
Gold/Silver/Crystal
Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Slowking, Umbreon, Espeon and the last one I forgot
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
Minun, Dustox, Aggron, Swarmpert, Tropius, Zangoose and I did switch around in this region with Metagross and Pelipper.
Fire Red/ Leaf Green
With this team I decided to use my original only this time with Minun
Minun, Bulbasaur/Ivysaur, Rattata/Sandshrew, Arcanine, Golduck, Alakazam
Diamond/Pearl
Minun, Turtwig, Cyndquil, Swarmpert, Munchlax, Honchkrow
Platinum

I only use my Peck, my empoleon. He has the strength of my Gummy(garchomp) Dino(dialga) Ty(hitmontop) and my Star(staraptor)

I always use my grass starter as the main pokemon in my team.

My Crystal Team consisted of Espeon, Umbreon, Meganium, Lugia, and I don't remember the rest. I used them regularly and trained Pokemon I found.

My former Diamond Team consisted of:

I can't remember the sixth one.

Pokemon I am currently training (and planning to train at some point) to use in teams (and because I like them) are:

I always go with the Fire-type starter, and the team I take to the Elite Four usually consists of Pokémon whose pre-evolutions are caught early in the game.

I don't use Legendaries against the Elite Four either, for some weird sentimental reason I want to use the Pokémon I spent most of my journey with in my Hall of Fame.

In my games I use everyone equally, but I end up using the same species over and over again (like Luxray, Blaziken, Charizard, Gyarados). I also use the game's mascot.

But in Platinum (and soon HeartGold), my team always has my lv. 100 Japanese Dialga that I caught in 2006, my TRU Arceus, and a lv. 100 Shiny Palkia. I love using them, so those are the ones I use after I beat everyone in game (but I use my old team to beat the trainers in a new area, since they need the EXP).

I just completed a all volbeat run on my emerald I beat the game using nothing but HM slaves (which were never used to battle exept to intiate double battles) and a Volbeat named buzz.

As soon as I got him I used nothing but him (and the Hm slaves for transportation) to beat the rest of the gyms, trainers in my way, and Elite 4 and then to beat steven in meteor falls.

(I also caught the legendaries, 'after everything else was done.' but I used other pokemon to help with that, although Buzz was my main man for weakening them and takin hits.)

(I used volbeat from the point which I could get it so I had to beat roxxane and deliver stevens letter and get to mauville city first.)

Tomorrow I'm gonna do an all Sableye run.

so there's a challenge for anyone who feels up to it, break out any of your old games, and see if you can use 1 guy to do it all

in platinum my latias aurora is my fav, shes brave (nature) and never goes in the PC (ever)

In my games, I don't have a main pokemon. I have a main team, thats it. I do have main pokemon for the Battle Frontier in Pokemon Platinum, those being Scizor, Starmie, and Garchomp.

In my Pearl version my main pokemon is my PBR Electivre, love that guy!

I don't have a main team, because it is never consistent and a few members are different every time I battle.

I do have a main Pokemon though, Arcanine ;059; is always with me no matter what version I happen to be playing.

I agree, in fact I don't even use legendaries, I only collect them, and store them in my PC. Its the other pokemon I like to give a chance, legendaries are used way too much.
