She is strangely attractive in some respects.
But if she starts muttering that song in my ear, I will have to put a sock in her mouth.

You really need to listen to other songs by the same artist before actually judging them by their songs. her other songs are mostly about sex actually good.

Today's music?

Well, I think some people take it way too seriously.

Like chill, it's just music. There's still creative stuff, still generic stuff, and everything in between. Like what you like and don't insult what you don't like. Remember that the pop song you're making fun of might just be there for people to have fun, it doesn't have to be deep or meaningful.

So far today's music is kind of backwards. I mean it was real good in the 80's, 90's, 00's and mid 00's. They put most of their emotions into it. It was not all about looking flashy, trying to please the fans, it was all about working hard to achieve. Today in success some people have forgotten where they came from.

I like modern rock, such as Coldplay and stuff. But someone go and kill Skrillix already.

Mainstream pop is soso, I like some songs but auto-tune screws heaps of potentially good songs up.

I know it’s dumb, that’s the fucking reason I’m doing it
So why does everyone have a problem with talking stupid shit?

personally i dont like to listen to deep and meaningful music when im just out having fun. but that's just me

I don't like most modern pop music. I like Coldplay, but aside from that, I am not a big fan of most modern music (I especially have a negative opinion on rap, dance and hiphop), and then I'm saying it in a very polite way. I prefer old music. I strongly prefer instruments over digital sounds. But I also know not all modern music is rap, dance or hiphop, and there is still music with instruments, but overall, I prefer music from the sixties, seventies and eighties.

this has prolly been said before but any of the little kiddies who think modern music is "tactless" or "not as good as THE BEATLES YEAH!!!" really aren't listening to modern music otuside of what's played on the radio.
like I said sorry if this has been posted before on the last 14 pages but I feel it should be said again.

I'll do it, but only if I can beat him to death with the members of Coldplay. There are precious few rock bands that I like less.

And for people who are still saying that all of today's music is terrible: Sit down and listen to something that just came out two days ago that's actually good.

I agree wholeheartedly. Today's music isn't even half as good as sixties, seventies and eighties music, not even close. During those ages were (in my opinion) almost all the greatest bands, like Queen, The Beatles, Toto and Abba. Back then music had emotion, deepness and beauty.

Today's music isn't good enough. The 30s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s are the best eras of music. Although 50s and 80s are the best for me(I give credit to Fallout 3/New Vegas for that). 80s, Final Countdown, that is all. Also Eye of the Tiger.

You are joking, right? The only reason people remember Final Countdown is because it was cheesy as **** and is considered to be a guilty pleasure.

This.

Then again, this whole thread is based around stereotyping music by the year it came out.

It might help if some of these kids tried listening to things that weren't on the radio, then. I'm not talking about deep album cuts from whatever the **** that band with the commandingly-voiced redhead is, either. Pretty sure that, on request, I could generate a decent list of 2000-or-later songs that are actually good.

The Beatles are commercial cràp, try and compare this masterpiece to The Beatles:

By the way if you're going to say music of the past is better link some good examples like these, not The Beatles, because they are the most overhyped garbage ever:

Comparing that to the Beatles is roflable.

While somewhat overrated, the Beatles were damn good.

The Beatles is not "the most overhyped garbage ever". The Beatles is awesome, hundred times better than for example Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga together. And I don't like the song you linked very much. I don't particularly hate it but it's nothing compared to The Beatles.

As you wish, I link some good examples:

I can't stand today's music! I love late 70/80/90 music..... then music became 'pop' and turned into people talking into a microphone and letting autotune do all the work for them.

Ummm... sure. I will. And its not really as good, to me. I can think of many Beatles songs I enjoy more than this one. Notice that its a sort of niche music that you linked to, so don't expect everyone to think its masterful.

The Beatles were overhyped some, but not crap. What are the reasons you have for your hatred of them?

And in general, modern music is not in my taste. Most of the music I have is older, with the exception being some actually good music. Even bands that were great are losing artistic integrity and going for the pop sound (God help me if Matchbox Twenty's new single is what the entire album is like). If you compare Train's Drops of Jupiter to Drive By, the only similarity is the singer. Drops of Jupiter is many times better.

Stuff I'm most into is the older bands like Queen, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, and the like. I recently got a Zep poster with the last lines of Stairway to Heaven, and its a great addition to my room.
