Your Pokemon Crime Team

This is a fun thread. Wish GF would create a game where the player joins a crime syndicate then chooses their team wisely like starter Pokemon for trainers.

My team:
Zoroark: ability to cast illusions.
Porygon Z: ability to hack computers and networks.
Alakazam: ability to teleport and get out of difficult situations with its high intelligence.
Haunter: ability to render foes unconscious once it phased through them.
Tyranitar: powerhouse.
Dragonite: flight and powerhouse.

Zoroark: illusions
Hydreigon: flight
Gengar: hypnosis

I don't really like the crime teams in Pokémon because I can't get onboard with any of their theories of why they are bad or why they want world domination. Some characters like Magneto from the X-men are great bad guys and you can fully understand why he is a bad guy. N came kinda close, but then he ended up becoming a 'good' guy.... BUT if I were to be on one of the crime teams I would have my plans and Pokémon team strategies worked out and have some well-trained Pokémon. I wouldn't go in half-cocked like the rest of these crime teams. Oh and I wouldn't hire anyone that couldn't train Pokémon. Some of the crime team 'fodder' of the past were just really TOO easy to defeat.

Idk if I would necessarily have Legendary Pokémon, because those would be difficult to find, but I would have some really strong well-trained Pokémon. Oh and I might be a ruthless boss to my minions, but not to my Pokémon. These bad guys have GOT to learn to be nice to their Pokémon and they might win every once in a while.

EDIT: I just read the first post and saw that it stated no Legendaries and I agree with that. And I would stick to the PG rated Pokémon bad guys. I wouldn't want to hurt or kill anybody or any Pokémon :)

1. Lapras- Freezes things/people. Surf or Dive away. Plus it's my favorite Pokémon and sidekick in crime.
2. Gyarados- My powerhouse and distraction... Dragon Rage!
3. Gallade- Use Psychic powers on the guards or Telekinesis to grab stuff. Then have it know Teleport. Plus use it's blades to break into stuff.
4. Volcarona- Fires for distraction and Fly to get away and String Shot to slow people down and cover doorways.
5. Gengar- Help to put people to sleep and scare citizens away from the scene of the crime.
6. Jolteon- Fast Pokémon with Thunder Wave to paralyze, and I would have it learn Dig just in case every other escape route is unavailable.

Cool thread.
Feraligatr: Sewer get away or water transportian. Tank to take hits and is powerful. Can also scare people off as it is a huge crocodile.
Zoroark: Can sneak in the shadows. Powerful and transform into other pokemon/people to sneak into places!
Porygon Z: Can hack computers and systems to take down security cameras and let me sneak into places
Charizard- Fly away as an air getaway. Really powerful and can destroy buildings and win battles. Can burn places down.
Weavile: Can sneak into buildings easily and steal jewlery and money!
Weezing:poison Foes and make horrible smells making people and other pokemon cough and buy me and my pokemon time to escape!

I like this thread, it's original. So my team will be:

Porygon-Z: Cyberspace agent.
Zoroaark: Spying agent.
Xatu: Teleport and future-seeing agent.
Chandelure: Ghost and trick agent.
Lucario: Aura sensing and combat agent.
Joltick:Inflitration agent.

The first thread on Serebii I've been impressed by. Most of the posts are thoughtful and insightful.

My team:

Gengar: The Granddaddy Ghost uses his abilities to meld into shadows, pass through walls and turn invisible for the good of crime. Excellent scouting utility and can also lay curses to waylay potential obstacles such as guards.

Gothitelle: I choose this over Zoark because it was able to recreate a whole different time as an illusion. Would prove useful in confusing guards and bystanders.

Staraptor: The lookout and aerial getaway. Can also use Intimidate + Close Combat/BraveBird if things get a little messy.

Weavile: A better version of Sneasel Snatch 'n' Grab.

Ursaring: If S*** hits the fan, I can rely on Ursarings power to completely stomp all over the enemy.

Swampert: Aquatic getaway and packs a strong arm to boot.

Milennin

*hugs Absol*
  • Growlithe: Cannot have a team without a cute mascot. Besides it being cute, it will be useful for lighting stuff on fire, to keep me warm in cold areas, finding/tracking stuff using its nose, and of course for being infinitely loyal to its trainer. Its ability will cause it to power-up itself just by standing in fire.
    Ability: Flash Fire
Move-set: Helping Hand, Agility, Bite, Flamethrower
  • Gardevoir: Because the ability to create black holes when I'm in danger is just too awesome to pass up. Also, the ability to heal herself and others is incredibly useful in tough situations. On top of that she also has Telepathy which can be used to communicate over distance and without making any noise.
    Ability: Telepathy
Move-set: Teleport, Heal Pulse, Future Sight, Psychic
  • Gallade: When Gardevoir's psychic fails, Gallade will be there to save the day with his sword arms. Both Gallade and Gardevoir know Teleport, which can be used to safely escape any scenario at an instant.
    Ability: Steadfast
Move-set: Teleport, Double Team, Psycho Cut, Close Combat
  • Nidoking: When you need brute force to destroy heavy stuff, or a sturdy meat shield to protect your team, you can't go wrong with a Nidoking. Can also be used for surfing.
    Ability: Sheer Force
Move-set: Trash, Earth Power, Megahorn, Surf
  • Luxray: Its ability to see clearly through walls and objects will prove useful on scouting missions and avoiding hidden traps/ambushes. Electric powers can be used to power electronic devices or to overload them.
    Ability: Intimidate
Move-set: Charge, Discharge, Thunderfang, Double Team
  • Haunter: Mega useful on stealth missions. It's practically invisible in the shadows, and merely touching its victims will cause paralysis. For tougher opponents that resist its touch it can use hypnosis to make them fall asleep.
    Ability: Levitate
Move-set: Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, Lick, Sucker Punch

edit: Added move-sets after reading an older post. Cool idea there.

This would be my team

Honchkrow: Coordinator of operations and flight specialist.
Darmanitan: Pure muscle. Not even 6 stars can stop his rampage.
Gardevoir: Teleporter, Screener, anti-Elite (just in case some guy decides to throw in a dragon).
Porygon-Z: Electronic warfare specialist.
Gengar: Infiltrator and incapacitator. (Because Even Evil Has Standards)
Blastoise: Water-based transport and combat.

If conventional weaponry is used as well, I will also be armed with a sawn off shotgun with a wide range of ammunition (standard 00 buckshot, slugs, rubber LTL, electric shells, explosive) since it would be plain unfair if I am the only one unarmed while the police is assembling a firing squad in front of me.

Kadabra for an escape teleport
Haunter to go through walls, use hypnosis on people
Excadrill to help me dig into/out of buildings
Charizard to scout in the air and to fly on for transportation
Luxray for its x-ray vision eyes, personal pokemon that stays by me at all times as my lookout
Dragonite as my muscle battling pokemon. Also knows mist attack.

CrimsonMasquerade

Compass Parrot
Team Masquerade go!:
-Cubone (the mascot, sharp shooter)
-Coffagrigus (bodyguard, intimidation, wrapping up enemies, sometimes a boat, sometimes a dinner table)
-Dusknoir (bodyguard, intimidation, confusing enemies)
-Scolipede (fast steed)
-Whimsicott (recon, infiltration, distraction)
-Beheeyem (memory wipe, data analyst, computer savvy)

cagedWINGS

The Poké-theorist.
This thread is awesome.

1. Excadrill. If I ever needed to break into any banks or anything, he'd be invaluable.

2. Rotom. I saw other people saying Porygon as a hacker. Rotom fills a similar role but he's just way cuter.

3. Skarmory. The ultimate high-speed getaway Pokemon.

4. Zoroark. He'd be able to cause diversions, like a hot lady to distract security guards.

5. Horsea. He'd be able to cause a smokescreen and shoot ink to black out CCTV cameras. The added bonus is that he's cute.

6. Pinsir. He's my favourite Pokemon. He could be my brawler incase things got physical. He'd be my partner in crime.

I think I'd be too paranoid to lug around fantastically large Pokémon such as most pseudo-legendaries. I'd stick to reasonably sized Pokémon in a crime hit. My main concern would be if the Pokémon could watch their own back and get out if an operation went sour.

Feraligatr : Totally not biased (eh, maybe a little) because he's my favorite Pokémon, but he's downright ideal for a crime team. Fast when on all-fours on land and even faster in the water. Would be my go-to offense and defense if things went wrong and I had to split up from the rest of the team for any reason and regroup elsewhere.

Noctowl : If I had to get away by sky be it day or night, there's a hypnotizing bird to back me up and ensure an aerial escape if I'm cornered. Like many crafty Pokémon, it's likely got an eye for shiny and possibly valuable trinkets.

Shiftry : My out-of-reach swift striker. Can hit targets from afar and would be the primary back-up if all else failed. He'd be waiting in the wings.

Heracross : My stand-in Machamp of sorts. A tank of immense power that can lift what I can't and deliver hefty attacks, but still make it out on its own. I'd imagine it'd be hard for a Machamp to simply run away from the scene of the crime if it got outnumbered by gun-wielding or sedative-bearing cops.

Rotom : Electric/Ghost that can inhibit electrical appliances and change its' type, move through walls and possibly wire cables unscathed, and most definitely a candidate for pulling off cyber crime or cracking a coded vault by infiltrating it electronically.

Sandslash : Can tunnel his way under structures for a discreet break-in and poison a threat or slash 'em up. Can possibly cause distractions too. Underground tunneling can cave-in certain things above it, causing mild property damage and pulling in large crowds away from the actual place we're hitting.

A boss ruthless to his minions isn't pragmatic either. A boss shouldn't be an ***, he should be kind enough to his minions so they will be undyingly loyal to him and won't share secrets w/ the hero, but not so much that he becomes a pushover.

this looks fun so I will make one

Aipom : my partner that rides on my shoulder he's cute, he's sneaky and he will steal from you with you knowing

Zoroark : the master of illusion can do anything from making it look like nothing was stolen from transforming into any Pokémon or a human to make a distraction

Dragonite : the friendly dragon with a kind heart to stand look out cuz no one would think that Dragonite would be part of a crime team if need will use to fight and it's my get away Pokémon when I need to take to the sky

Weavile : moves fast its sneaky and can pick locks and I can have it freeze people if needed

Gardevoir : I can use her for all my psychic needs teleporting, hypnotizing and seeing into the future

Well most likely I wouldn't be mean to them, but I wouldn't be friends with them either. I would put on an act of 'Failure is NOT an option'. You would eventually have to make an example out of someone, but that's what happens when you are the bad guy (And no I don't mean kill someone as an example). If you let anything slide, then you will be seen as a pushover and the rest of them will want to walk all over you. You have to have the façade of someone who doesn't care about anything but winning.

Maybe Unforgiving boss would have been a better way to say it instead of Ruthless boss. Because I just don't see myself as being Ruthless lol :)

Treasure huntin'
Honchkrow-Come on, it is meant to look like a mafia leader.
Sabeleye-A smaller and really shady shadow figure that even has jewels in its eyes. It is made for being a thief.
Klecleon-Obvious reason, can basically be invisible.
Frogadier-A quick ninja-like frog that can co fast ln both land and jn the water to move out the goods.
Excadrill-Can swiftly dig a passage in and out of places, also is strong for backup if things go wrong.
Snorlax-The last resort, if things go really bad, just have snorlax come in and body slam, use earthquake, and some other chaotic moves to make a distraction.

What I slapped together in a few minutes:

Meganium - The bulk, toxin, and medical expert of the team. Not only can she take down a door of steel with little effort, but also pacify any foes that try to interfere with sabotaging powders and calming scents. Her aromatherapy and general knowledge can be utilized to patch up any injured partners.

Wailord - A living U-boat and master of marine warfare. He is capable of obliterating score of enemies with a single tsunami, as well as stealthily transporting me from continent to continent over a reasonable amount of time.

Zoroark - Essentially a Ditto that is better suited for combat, particularly in her original form. This cunning fox knows how to make a living out of lies, dirty fighting, and strategic infiltration.

Metagross - My proverbial wild card and Swiss army knife. He can fly above the clouds, manipulate almost all forms of electronics to his advantage, and generally wipes the floor with whoever comes face-to-face with him. Also, with some training, he has gained the ability to teleport himself and small groups of entities over varying distances. This is still somewhat new to him, so it uses up slightly more energy than normal.

Typhlosion - The fire and explosions enthusiast. If by some chance we're trapped, he can melt and blow his way through almost every material.

Chatot - The first Pokémon to assist in my hazardous pursuits. He, like all others of his kind, can mimic any possible sound a human can make, which is helpful in making misleading phone calls and generally messing with people.

pokedigijedi

Saiyan Jedi
Zoroark: with its power of illusions I will baffle my enemies

Tyranitar: for dealing heavy damage

Metagross: to add some defense

Hydreigon: another heavy hitter

Gyarados: Heavy hitter 3 and to add some diversity

Victreebel: for diversity and for its ability to cause status effects

so yeah my criminal team would involve a knock them down and don't let them back up strategy.....then kick them while they are down

I'd rather use the term "Pragmatic Villainy" instead. That is, not being a villain just For Teh Evulz.
