Ash/Gary (Palletshipping): My OTP for this fandom~ I was a fan of the Original Series of Pokémon back when it first came out overseas, but fell out of watching it before the end of Johto. I've only started watching the anime again fairly recently (when the first gen episodes came onto Netflix, and I got run over by the nostalgia train XD). But anyway, back when I was first watching the show, I didn't ship anything, but this time around, I've definitely been bitten by the bug hardcore. XD Basically, for the reason why I ship these two, it's all the fault of Kingdom Hearts. XD XD XD Lol, I'd seen some Flint/Volkner and Axel/Roxas comparisons, but nobody warned me about all of the Sora/Riku and Ash/Gary parallels, so there went any desire on me not shipping it. XD It's the premise of childhood best friends turned bitter rivals, and yet even in the height of their rivalry, there's an amount of care and concern towards each other that wouldn't be there if they'd just simply started hating each other. And eventually, they grow up and heal and come together again, and their relationship is stronger than ever. And then the whole Pokeball thing came out, and I just...sort of threw my hands up and gave in. XD I mean...they both carried half everywhere with them as a talisman, without ever consulting each other about it, and now each view it as a good luck charm? Like, I'm sorry, but if that isn't one of the most romantic things ever, then I don't know what is. (And, speaking of KH, SoKai shippers, don't you dare tell me that this is any different than Oathkeeper's keychain, don't even
) So, uh, yeah, Kingdom Hearts doomed me to ship them this time around, and so they're now my favorite pairing. I only wish there was more fanwork for them, especially recent stuff. ;;;;
Dawn/Zoey (Appealshipping): Within five minutes of Zoey's appearance on-screen, I already knew that this ship was going to skyrocket up to the top of my esteem, and I am so happy that I was right. XD I just....THIS SHIP, MAN. I think one of the things that I appreciated about Zoey as a character was that she was just such a breath of fresh air from all of the other main rivals we'd had up to this point, who took tons of time and character development to stop being such jerks to the protagonists and become at least somewhat decent people (Gary, Drew, and Paul being the biggest examples of this trope). But Zoey stood that old formula on its head, and right from the very start of first meeting Dawn, she's nice and supportive, stepping up unasked to help Dawn out in her moment of crisis, and completely without lecturing or berating her, with zero attempts to tear down her confidence, and validating it instead. Zoey also didn't engage in typical "No, I'M going to win" rival talk, and with quiet, unassuming self-confidence, replied simply to Dawn's assertions of victory with "I'll see you in the finals then", and only ever talked about her previous wins and losses in a matter-of-fact tone, with absolutely no bragging or boasting in sight. And then Zoey just never stopped being so awesome and full of class, and kept rising to ever-greater heights. Zoey just....she
gets Dawn, she always understands what Dawn needs from her, whether it's some space and privacy, or advice and constructive criticism, sympathy or a firm, no-nonsense attitude, or even the occasional kick in the pants, and then Zoey just GIVES IT TO HER, with no reservations or judgement whatsoever. Zoey is just so inspirational to Dawn without ever having to be mean about it, and that's such a great change from the usual rival model that the show employs. Zoey is also so supportive that she will literally drop everything to run to Dawn's side and to BE THERE for her when Zoey knows that Dawn needs her, and while she's protective of Dawn and will defend her, Zoey also doesn't ever smother her, and always knows when to take a step back to let Dawn be independent. Zoey never pressures Dawn about anything, and is never jealous of Dawn's other friends, or feels the need to put them down, or to be competitive with them, and never tries to make Dawn's decisions for her, or to isolate Dawn from her friends. Zoey is just....SO MAGNIFICENT. And for Zoey, who was always looking up to the older Candice, I think it's gratifying for her to be on the other end, with Dawn looking up to her. And I think that Zoey greatly admires Dawn for her confidence, loyalty, work ethic, courage, optimism, and the way Dawn can pick herself back up from a fall or setback, and finds ways to grow from each experience. I just...love their relationship so much. LADIES, LADIES SUPPORTING EACH OTHER AND BEING AWESOME FRIENDS AND INSPIRING EACH OTHER AND BEING AMAZING TOGETHER! 8D
Jessie/James (Rocketshipping): I figured these two were gonna be my otp when I started getting back into watching the anime, at least until Palletshipping snuck up on me like a ninja. XD But I still love this ship a whole bunch. One of my favorite types of shipping ever are what I call the Life Partner ships; ones like Balthier/Fran (FFXII) and Roy/Riza (FMA). These two have been together forever, and will always be there for each other and have each other's backs, are so in sync that they can rhyme together on a dime, and no matter how much they blast off, they never blast apart. :3 Plus, an added bonus with these two is that they're very gender-subversive, and I LOVE couples, especially het couples, that do this. Also, Jessie totally tops in this relationship, and I think that's a beautiful thing. XD
Brock/N (ParadigmShiftShipping): Lol, so yes, this is pretty darn cracky. AND YET. I actually ship these two really seriously, and think they'd work shockingly well together? Like, I think N would appreciate and really admire all of the dedication and devotion and time and effort and care that Brock puts into taking care of Pokémon, into making special food for them, and that Brock's now becoming a Pokémon doctor. And N DESPERATELY needs someone to take care of him and to mother him a bit...and who better for that job than Brock? XD I know that, at least as far as the games are concerned (I haven't seen the BW anime yet), it's Hilda/Hilbert who is the first person N sees as having a good relationship with their Pokémon (and I'd guess that Ash fulfills this role in the BW anime, but again, idk), but I think a relationship with Brock would help even further with getting N to see in the good and the benefit of humans having relationships with Pokémon. Brock could be supportive of N, and help bridge his gaps in social understanding, and N with his language skills could help Brock become even closer with Pokémon and to help him understand their needs even more. So, yeah, I think they'd actually be great for each other, and I'm shipping them fairly hardcore now.
Yes, Brock, I know you're all about the ladies, but hey, N is practically a Magical Girl Princess anyway, so close enough, right? XD And this ship could have bonus points with some trans/genderfluid/genderqueer N headcanons, so I think it all works out just fine. ^^
Ash/Paul (ComaShipping): Because Paul totally has a screamingly obvious crush on Ash, and takes being a tsundere over him to new heights. Because practically everyone in Sinnoh that spends any amount of time in the presence of these two can tell that SOMETHING is going on betweeen them, and ships this accordingly (with Cynthia and Reggie, Paul's own brother, being the captains of this ship), or else calls them out on it, with Brock and Dawn getting on Paul's case, and with Roark, A GYM LEADER, calling out Ash. Because, when they're together, they can hardly take their eyes off of each other. Because Paul, no matter what he says about how he doesn't care for Ash at all, still goes far out of his way to help Ash, and to see him, and to get his attention, and oh yeah, Paul, what was that, again, about not caring? Hmm? ;P And it's been quite a while since Ash has worked this hard to prove himself to somebody (not since Gary, really), and he gets so caught up in trying to impress Paul that he gets thrown off his groove in his Pokemon battling, so much so that, as previously mentioned, even Roark had to call Ash out on it. And despite how much of a jerk Paul is to him, Ash is the first to jump to Paul's defense in "Top Down Training" after his loss to Cynthia, because Ash is so compassionate, and has such a big heart (it's no wonder Cynthia immediately started shipping it XD). So, yeah, I still have my issues with Paul as a character, but I do like this ship, mostly because it makes me laugh, and teasing Paul about his OBVIOUS CRUSH on Ash cools the fires of my rage against him. (And also, just like with the farewells between Appeal and Pearl, my other two favorite Sinnoh ships, Paul ALSO gets a romantic sunset send-off, and this amuses me greatly. XD)
May/Bianca (RechercheShipping): The Bianca from Alto Mare, that is.
Anyway, this is a crack ship I came up with a little while ago (along with Brock/N and Bonnie/Iris), but it's been growing on me rapidly since then as well. XD Anyway, they do have some proximity with each other, given that Alto Mare's guardian legendaries, after all, are registered in Hoenn. I think the best thing about this ship is that Bianca is very no-nonsense, and not much seems like it would intimidate her, and she's got a lot of protective instincts and could take on everyone and everything, and so when May is feeling insecure and vulnerable, Bianca would be protective of her and glare down and tell off anyone who dared to mess with her. And alternatively, when May gets over-confident, Bianca would tell her so in no uncertain terms, and is sensible and would be able to bring May back down to earth. May, in turn, is bubbly and enthusiastic and romantic and would probably be very appreciative and supportive of Bianca's artistic endeavors, and would totally be up for slowing down and taking the time to admire the beauty of the world, and May would probably be a great muse for Bianca, with as much joy and energy that May has towards living and life. May could get Bianca to remember to lighten up and re-inspire her about why she likes painting and capturing moments and beauty on the canvas in the first place. (Plus, I think it would hysterical if Bianca hauled off on Drew for the way he treated May before his character development took hold, and intimidated the crap out of him. XD So, whenever Drew annoys me, I'm just going to imagine Bianca glaring daggers at him over May's shoulder, and then it's all good.
)
Tracey/Misty/Sakura (OrangeBlossomShipping): I even named this ship myself! ;P Anyway, I really adore both of Tracey and Sakura's ships with Misty, and when an episode of Pokemon Chronicles had these three become like the power trio that I hadn't even realized that I wanted, it was only fair for me to start shipping them all together! XD In all seriousness, though, these three really did make an excellent team, and I love how supportive of each other they all are, and supportive of Misty in particular. All three of them are characters that are working towards self-empowerment and learning self-confidence, but it's always nice to have friends to share in your path every once in a while. So while I do think that their individual journeys are important and I'm glad for them, I do also appreciate that they have each other, that they have companions who understand and have similar goals, and I think it's good for them to lean on each other sometimes.
Misty/Tracey (Orangeshipping): They just seem really cute to me, and I always get this feeling of great fondness when I think about them. (Plus, I like clinging to Tracey because, apart from Misty and Brock, he's the companion that I am the most familiar with, and is therefore like my safe port in the storm of everyone that I haven't gotten to yet. XD) In any case, I prefer Tracey to be with Misty above most other options because he's nice and respectful, and I feel that he has a soothing, calming effect on Misty, which is something I can't help but feel that she lacks in a lot of her other relationships (and I mean, not just romantic ones, but with her sisters as well). And I always feel bad that Misty feels that she has to be angry all of the time (or so it seems to me), and I'd think that would get tiring very quickly. She's not like that with Tracey, and she doesn't need to police his behavior like she does with Brock. So I just see them as having a nice, quiet, and calm relationship, and I think Tracey offers her companionship in this unassumingly supportive way; like, he recognizes that she's even sadder and lonelier since she let Togepi/Togetic go, and so when his Marill has a baby, he thinks of her and gives her a new baby Pokemon to look after in Azurill, and he knows it's just what she needs, despite that I doubt she would have communicated such a thirst for companionship to him. Tracey's also dependable, because he at least visits her regularly, and I just feel that he would put Misty's needs first, for once in her life, as especially in the wake of being forced back to the Gym by her sisters, Misty's probably feeling like her needs never come first. But Tracey would give that to her. And to start to shift more towards the side of what Tracey would get out of this relationship, I feel that both Tracey and Misty like to feel needed and wanted. Misty wants to feel desirable, since she's often been over-looked by so many people in her life, and I think Tracey wants to feel like his efforts and hard work are noticed and appreciated. So I think that Misty would be able to recognize that similar need in him, and thus she could be empathetic to his desire for validation, and would know to make sure to give that to him. Maybe Tracey feels a bit ashamed about it, and that's why he's never actually up-front about those feelings, and why he could fade into the background so easily. But Misty wouldn't look down on him for it, and could be the driving force and determination and encouragement to help him pursue his dreams (like how all through the Orange Islands, she constantly praises his artwork and validates the idea that OF COURSE Professor Oak would be impressed, and that Tracey's idol would like to meet him). When Tracey feels insecure, Misty wouldn't let him quit and undersell his work and achievements. Misty and Tracey could be each other's rocks---she would be stubborn and unwavering in her support, and he would be able to weather her rage and just let it roll off of him, and wouldn't blow up in return and escalate and exacerbate the problem. ...Basically, I just miss Tracey and the dynamic he brought to the group. XD
Misty/May (ImageShipping): Even from the little interaction we got of them together in Advanced Challenge (in the two-part episode about the Mirage Kingdom), maaaaaaaan. XD May especially seemed to be in awe of Misty, and it's not hard to translate that into May crushing on her. :3 Also, it was SUPER NICE to have two girl characters' interaction, whose only previous connection was through a boy, not to be full of petty jealousy or anything like that. I mean, I don't think May has been coded as having romantic feelings for Ash (at least not yet), but Misty definitely was a few times, so it's....kind of a miracle that the writers didn't have either girl going down the road of hating or being jealous of each other. Not even for just an episode, or as a lesson about friendship, or anything. Nope, they were just totally, genuinely into each other and admired each other and wanted to be friends on their own terms, and not just because of their common friend in Ash. And lemme tell you, I am so down and so here for this, far more so than I would ever be for Ash/Misty or Ash/May. MOAR OF MISTY AND MAY HANGING OUT TOGETHER, YES PLEASE.
Delia/Grace (SecretlyAcquaintedMomsShipping): BECAUSE I CAN, MOSTLY. XD Everyone needs some more mom femslash love in their lives, and given Serena and Ash's backstory, I think it is TOTALLY FEASIBLE that they could meet. I see them getting along quite well, personality-wise. Lol, idk if there are even other shippers for them aside from me, but lalalala I'm riding off into the crack femslash sunset with them anyway.
Misty/Sakura (YoungerSisterShipping): So, yes, Orangeshipping, that's cool, BUT ADORABLE FEMALE FRIENDSHIPS THOUGH. XD Obviously the anime is not shy about highlighting the shared experiences they both have, and yes I get Sakura wanting to travel and explore her own self-empowerment, yes good, but MAAAAAAAAAN, I would have loved for Sakura to join the group in Johto. Oh well, at least they meet up again in Chronicles. ^^ Misty and Sakura just support each other so well, and have great communication and really understand each other, and not just in their shared feelings and frustrations with their families, but also later in how they're on similar paths of finding self-empowerment, and I just think they fit together really well, and are super cute while doing it. (Also, this means more femslash for me, and so we are all good. :3)
Misty/Ash (Pokeshipping): Yeah, can't deny it. XD Misty holds a place of special fondness in my heart, granted to her by nostalgia, and so she'll always be one of my favorites of Ash's travelling companions. And dang, when Misty had to leave? I cried. I totally bawled my eyes out. They all made me cry when they all split up at the end of Johto, and while I love Brock and his place in their trio, I think Ash and Misty had a special connection in their relationship. I don't necessarily ship them romantically, but...it's just that, apart from Gary (and Pikachu, if you want to include Pokémon), Misty was Ash's first friend, and in some ways I think she's his best friend. As Misty herself put it, they've been through SO MUCH together, how could their relationship mean nothing? And Ash's mention of Misty in that Jirachi movie, and how much it hurt him to say goodbye to her, just stabbed me right through the heart. I guess the word I'd use to describe my interpretation of their relationship would be 'queerplatonic'. It's a deep, intense emotional attachment, but not really a romantic one. In any case, they're cute, and with their interactions being coded as romantic on a few occasions, I can handle some light romance between the two of them, and I miss Misty about as much as Ash does. (If I wanted to carry the Kingdom Hearts parallels and metaphors all the way through, if Palletshipping is my SoRiku, then Pokeshipping encapsulates my feelings on SoKai. ^^)
Ash/Todd (SnapShipping): This was actually the first thing I shipped in the anime (yes, even before Palletshipping, SCANDALOUS
), and I just spend all of the episodes that Todd appears in cooing at the pair of them. XD I love how supportive Ash is of Todd's career, and how he goes WAAAAAY out of his way to help Todd achieve his photography dreams. And I love the way Todd is able to recognize and capture through his medium the specialness of Ash and of the relationships Ash has....they're just really, really, really cute together, and I enjoy the heck out of when Todd appears to hang out, and how Ash immediately enfolds and welcomes him into the group dynamics. ^^
Joy/Jenny (LilacShipping): At first I was just toying with the idea of this ship, but then some interesting interactions started occurring in the anime, and so I hopped fully on board. I just...Johto, what was up with you? First there was a Joy and Jenny in the Articuno episode acting like a married couple, and then "An Egg-sighting Adventure" happened, with the Jenny flirting with Joy and calling her beautiful and Joy blushing and eating it up, and I just....like, wow. So, hahaha, here I am. XD
May/Forrest Franklin (BugShipping): This is the guy that helped May catch her Wurmple. Annnnnnd, you guessed it: they're really cute together. XD Her being all blushy, and him being super nice and respectful and admiring....what more could you ask for? And awww, Forrest wanted to go with her...dang it, first Sakura, and now Forrest? Why can't we have nice things? :/
Pikachu/Umbreon (SorrowShipping) (Ash's and Gary's, respectively ;D): I blame fanfiction. XD I think it's cute, anyway, to think of them cuddling up together, especially if their trainers are going to be doing some cuddling of their own. ;P I also like the idea of some friendly competitive-ness between them, the way they could potentially riff off of each other, and their shared eye-rolling and commiseration at the hopelessness of their trainers and their silly human notions of romance. XD
Bulbasaur/Squirtle (TeamShipping) (both Ash's): They and their relationship are not in focus a lot, but when they are, it's just super touching and emotional to me? Like, the way they were when Squirtle was leaving, I seriously cried. They're just adorbs, okay? *headdesk* But they really do complement each other well. Bulbasaur's the more calm and level-headed one, to Squirtle's rashness, but when Bulbasaur's pride gets in the way, Squirtle's got a laid-back easygoingness to smooth everything over, and it all turns out okay. Plus they've both found a calling outside of battling, and with both of them it's ways of helping others. I think it's sweet, anyway. And awwwwwww, their reunion at the Silver Conference, the sweetness just keeps going and going. ;;;;;;
Phanpy/Cleffa: Okay, you go watch the episode "Wish Upon a Star Shape". Now look me in the eye and tell me if that isn't one of the most adorable and heartbreaking relationships ever. ...... That's what I thought. XD Awww, I love how protective Phanpy is of Cleffa, and how even though it hurts to let the other go, Phanpy still loves Cleffa enough to help Cleffa get back home to its family. ^^
Latias/Ash (AltoShipping): I'm not fully comfortable at fully diving into the Poke/Human side of the shipping fandom, yet. But LORD UP ABOVE, this relationship is just SO CUTE that I can't help it, and I want Latias to hang out with Ash forever~ I don't quite know what label to put on this, though, so I'm kind of not going to? I mean, it'd be nice to just neatly label this as platonic, but....lordy. Some of their interactions kind of push that boundary. Like, that was DEFINITELY Latias at the end, kissing Ash on the cheek, and I'm not quite sure why else she would express affection that way, and if their goal had been showcasing a platonic bond, then she could have just hugged him (not to mention that everyone else's reactions pushed the envelope even more). Idk, a lot of their interactions, especially when Latias was taking a human guise, had a lot of romantic coding to them coming from both sides (just...the way some of those chase scenes from Ash's perspective were framed and shot, man....), and this is saying something, considering Ash is notorious for being oblivious to this kind of thing. So yeah. I don't know where that leaves me standing, but I do think their interactions are adorable, at the very least, and the movie doesn't take this to squick levels, so...I'll just be over in the shallow end of this ship, splashing my toes in the water.
Brock/James (BrocketShipping): Screw the world for the attack of these unfair feelings. XD I don't ship these two that much, but the DP episode "Arriving in Style" gave me far too many shippy feels for them anyway. *headdesk* I just....I have this weakness, okay? A weakness for people discussing costuming/fashion and the effects of accessories and how one can use this medium to express ideas, and in that episode, both Brock and James started hammering in on this weak spot hardcore when they were sitting next to each other in the stands of that PokeStyling competition. And, much like James was, I was just bowled over by the way he and Brock were so totally UNDERSTANDING and GETTING EACH OTHER, and then Brock was so emotionally supportive for James when Jessie ruined his design, and they were just interacting like they were the best of friends, and I JUST CANNOT DEAL WITH IT, OKAY? XP And yeah, Brock never realized it was James, but I think it really struck home, for both me and James, that if they just really opened their minds to the possibility, the Trio would see that they really do have a lot in common with the "twerps", and that getting along and being friends isn't that hard. And just when I was ready to write this ship off as a one episode fluke....they met up in the stands and started bonding AGAIN in "To Thine Own Pokemon Be True". So, yeah, now I kinda have to admit, despite the eternal headdesking I'm giving myself for it, that I do ship them at least a little bit. XD
- Games -
Steven/Wallace (Originshipping): Ahahahaha, awwwww.
These two are going to be the end of me, I swear. XD This ship rapidly became my favorite out of all of my ORAS ships, and I enjoy reading fanfic for them by a ridiculous amount. (Boo for Wallace not being in the anime until Sinnoh, BOO I SAY, GO HOME WALLACE, I WANTED TO MEET YOU SOONER D: ) It's kinda funny, because they're super serious in the games (which is understandable, given the apocalyptic circumstances), but they're also the biggest dorks and dweebs in the world, and they're so cute together that I feel like I'm about to combust from cute overload. XD And the absolute BEST part about this ship is that it is so very easy to make the pair of them super-duper queer. Like, asexual or demisexual Steven? Trans or genderfluid Wallace? GIVE IT ALL TO ME!!!!
They never fail to make me smile, and I'm pretty sure that this is the hill I'm going to die on. XD God bless you, ORAS, for being so very full of the gay. But also screw you, because now you're ruining my life. XD *headdesk*
May/Lisia/Zinnia (DragonQueensShipping): Because I like all three subsets of ships, and cannot bring myself to choose one over the others, and so I've basically decided I'd like to have my cake and eat it too.
For more detailed explanations of each ship, see below.
Lisia/Zinnia (SpecialityShipping): Buuuut, if I had to pick JUST ONE out of three, then this one has surprisingly grown to be my favorite, despite that I do LOVE their ships with May. Anyway, I think they'd actually work out pretty well. Lisia's whole thing is that she likes showing off a different side of Pokémon and of bonding with them through her Contests, and with Zinnia looking for a fresh start and a new purpose in life and to figure out what actually makes her happy, now that her destiny isn't crushing her and that she's finding a way out from under her grief...I think that Lisia would be the breath of fresh air that Zinnia needs, and would be really good for her and a great source of support and comfort, and I think that Zinnia would find Lisia charming and endearing and amusing.
May/Lisia (ContestQueenshipping): Sooooooooo freaking cute together. XD Lisia seems like she's REALLY REALLY into May, and blushes around her and wants to open up to her and get to know her better, and believes in her, and it all sits in direct contrast to how she doesn't seem to want anything to do with Chaz. And Lisia's goals with Contests seem like a good lesson for May to learn, and so I think that Lisia could be an important influence on the other girl. And, again, they are precious beyond words. X3
May/Zinnia (AlphaIdealsShipping): I ship Zinnia with Brendan too, at least a bit, so I recognize all of the chemistry and hints count for both ships, but I like femslash and Zinnia with May better, so there.
But seriously, Zinnia's dialogue with the player, though. Like....."You never disappoint me"? "You know I adore you?" "I really hope you'll come chasing after me"? "You look so adorable when you sleep"?! She's flirting with you all over the place! XD Anyway, I like the idea of May being able to help Zinnia move on from her painful past and to find a new perspective on life and all of that good stuff. So adorbs, as well. XD
Lysandre/Sycamore (PerfectWorldShipping): And suddenly, the game will make so much more sense. Why they're always going on about each other, why Sycamore is always trying to see the best in Lysandre, why Sycamore seemed to think that he in particular should have seen Lysandre's true plans coming....seriously, IT JUST MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. Plus, I like it because it serves to humanize Lysandre in a way that the game didn't do otherwise, and actually made me care a little bit about him as a character.
Brendan/Wally (Loverivalshipping): Because Wally is all things precious and adorable in the world, and must be protected at all costs, and had such CUTE interactions with the player in ORAS. May ended up being the vehicle for all of my "OMG MY PRECIOUS BBY CHILD" feels, and since I like shipping her with the gals anyway, this leaves Brendan to be shipped with him. :3 I can see Brendan coming to really admire Wally and his willpower and determination and how he never quits and gives up in spite of all of the obstacles life throws at him, and meeting Wally is another great catalyst for character growth in Brendan and a way for him to learn about and check his privileges, such as his being able-bodied in comparison to Wally being more disabled (which is one of the many reasons why I fangirl so much over Wally, being disabled myself ^^), so I'm always gonna be behind that kind of thing. And idk, but Boy Culture or whatever and all that, I think Brendan's respect would mean more to Wally than similar sentiments from May would, but that's just my feeling.
Plus, but WOW is that field of red flowers super romantic looking, especially if you see it during sunset.
Hilda/Rosa (WhiteSquaredShipping): Because Rosa is the cutest thing on the planet ever, I swear, I can barely stand how adorable she is, and she is solely the reason why I want to get the game Black 2. *headdesk* Since I love Rosa (even though I don't really know her much yet XD), and I love femslash like burning, this seems to be the logical route to take. Plus, the mental image is too cute for this world (though again, maybe that's just Rosa in general, LORD SAVE ME FROM THIS FRICKIN' CUTIE).
Hilda/N (Ferriswheelshipping): If I'm being fully honest, I do have to admit that, with White being the first Pokémon game I ever truly played, this was my first game shipping, however much it weirded me out and I complained about it at the time. XD That Ferris wheel scene, I swear. *headdesk* I mean, there was truly no other reason for N to take the player character there, other than because he likes you and doesn't know what to do with that.
I can probably ship Hilbert/N too, especially if the Ferris wheel scene is the exact same even if you're a boy, but since I played as Hilda, she's the ship with N that my heart's got a soft spot for. XD Also, I really, really loved how N actually has an in-character reason for seeking out the player so much, and that he tells it to you: because you were the first person to show him something different, the first person he saw having a good relationship with their Pokémon, and who first shook the foundations to what he thought he knew about the world. In a way, I guess it's kinda like Sora/Namine in Kingdom Hearts; what I love so much about what Sora does for Namine, is that he shows her something
different, and he shows her
possibility, that she has agency, and she can break out of this pre-determined role that's been set for her, and that she can choose her own path. He tells her that
it doesn't have to be this way. This, I feel, is what Hilda does for N, and I think that's a beautiful thing.

Tory/Wally (PokeTherapyShipping): Tory was one of the only good things that came out of that "Destiny Deoxys" movie, and he's cute and I want to cuddle him in a similar vein as Wally. So it'd be like total cuteness squared. XD And I think it'd be an interesting concept in examining different disabilities, as Tory's PTSD is a mental one, whereas Wally's problems are with his physical health. Seeing the way this could be explored, and how they handle their disabilities together would be quite nice, in my opinion. They'd be gentle with each other, and full of understanding and empathy and so supportive. Plus, this would be two awesome things added together in my book: a queer ship, AND a ship with canonically disabled characters, heck yes! :3
