Your Story on the day Ruby/Sapphire came out...

Me? I was in Melbourne (Australia), visiting my cousin. And to my utter discust and surprisement, I forgot that that day was the realse date! I almost exploded. I then asked my mum to take me to the mall and buy it. As I ran to EB games, I saw it! I quickly grabbed Ruby version, and had a good look at the box, after I bought it, I had my GBA waiting in the car, and as soon as I stepped in I was off. I was enthralled by it all, because at that stage I hadt discovered serebii.net or any decent site, so I hadnt seen many screens, but I had seen the new pokemon. I started with Torchic coz it was the cutest. Then, "we are goin to nanna and poppa's!" I heard. I was so annoyed bacause I wasnt allowed to play it at their house, so I sat and tried to smile as my GBA was just sitting in the car. To settle my cravings I brought my instruction booklet inside. That is probably the most reading ive done in my life, I swear about 5 hours and the the intruction book read about 100 times, the 3rd gen pokemon in it, had been drawn in outstanding battle scenes, and eventually, I got back to playing, and I was happy as happy can be, I still have the drawings and the tattered instruction booklet from that day which changed all car trips into a fun fantsy world.

Hmm...well, I remember sitting there not really caring.

Although, I saw many friends who had bought Ruby and Sapphire (mostly Sapphire) and I got a bit jealous. Funnily enough, I didn't end up getting either until the year after :O.

I had it from my brithday played it for 333 hours now nvr resseted and i still play it i was so happy when i got it!
(ive encouterd 2 shinnies...one breloom from one of the trainers in Battle tower and a jolteon also in the battle tower

hmmm, well i got it like 2-3 years after so i knew all the knew pokemon and what GBA games are like, so i wasn't that exited, but when i say the new pokemon on pokemon.com i was looking at them all the time, trying to "remember 'em all" ^^ (when i saw aggron i was like O_O sweeeeeet)

It came out. I bought it. And then I played it. OK, so I don't really have a story, but all of that really happened.

I don't exactly remember what happened that day, but I remember when Emerald came out. My birthday was in a few days and everyone was saying I should ask for it. So I did!

On the day Ruby and Sapphire came out my mommy got my little brother and I Ruby and Sapphire. I got Ruby of course she picked up the copies on the way to the airport and we played them down on the way to Key Marathon (yup playing video games on a trip passes by your time getting there)

Like Spheal 2, I was only aware of Emerald's release. I was probably about 7 or 8 years old when Ruby/Sapphire came out, because back then I never showed an interest in Pokémon, and unfortunately I do not know the release date of R/S, either. ;>> But when I was 9, these people were playing R/S, and I got interested in the games myself, so I decided to buy the game. That's all, I guess. A pretty boring story.

I remember I had reserved Ruby and Sapphire about 2 months or so before, so I was excited for the day to finally come. I remember going to Target, and picking up my 2 new games, and wanting to play them as soon as I came home. I remember also picking up the Ruby/Sapphire Guide in the store too, and reading the back of it, and checking the new things out that were in the game.

And to think, it's been 3 or so years since Ruby and Sapphire came out...Time sure flies with Pokemon games.

i got mine 5 months after it came out and at the time i was grounded, so when i got it, i was only allowed to play it for an hour

same deal, except my brother had sapphire, which he still plays today.
played it for a while then stoped. then when I heard the release of FR/LG i went to reserve that also at target. then started up Ruby again.

My pokemon journey began with red version purchased at Toys R us but my G/S/R/S/FR/LG were purchased at target

I was on vacation when I saw it in the catalog. I wanted it so bad, that when I went to the store to buy it, it was the first section I went to. So then I had it and thats it.
