When a pokemon is caught, sent into a battle, or cept in a pokeball... what do yo think about it?

1. Do you think that pokemon and trainers can still love eachother like true friends, family or loved one's?

2. Or do you think it's slavory?

I don't know how to explain it that there's no slavory, but I believe on number 1.

This is very important and involves the anime, manga, games, movies and everything else pokemon related.

I think it depends on the trainer or Pokemon.
If the trainer doesn't treat the Pokemon with care and just uses it as a tool of war, then that would just be like slavory. So, it's more important that a trainer should care for their Pokemon so the Pokemon can like them back.

Yeah but some people think that even if the person loves their pokemon very much, it still sounds as slavory.

Hmm

I think, when you get alone with your pokemon, it's not so much being like a slave master. It's more like being a leader.

Or if you're really close, it's more like being the alpha male/female of the team. More respect.

If a trainer treats them well, they can be friends, but if they're abused, then they're simply slaves.

To those who abuse them, Pokemon are slaves. To those who are extremely close, Pokemon are like family members. To most of the populace, Pokemon are dear friends.

It really does depend on the trainer and the Pokemon.

If the trainer themselves treat the Pokemon like slaves, then it is considered cruelty and slavory in a way.

But if the trainer is kind and understanding to the Pokemon, I don't see any slavory conflict there.

If the Pokemon doesn't like being captivated, then they will think of it as slavory. The trainer probably won't seeing as this is done all the time and is perfectly legall. It just depends on the point of veiw ^_^

Slaves get no love, so... while some Pokemon would be considered slaves to their masters, I think most are dear friends, or like Evanji Axu said, as close as family.
I would treat mine as friends/family, personally. :3

Yup that's ^ what i think, cuz if pokemon aren't loved & people make'em like slaves then it would be a bad thing so i love my pokemon not make'em slaves

lets just say my pokemon would be eating alot of bitter stuff, lol in my games i feed my pokemon freindship killing potions and i let my pokemon faint for fun :D

If the trainer gives the pokemon a choice about coming with him on a journey, or gives them the oppertunity to go free, like Ash sometimes does, then its not slavery.

But if the pokemon is just captured, and not allowed to leave, then that's slavery.

That would be an interesting subject to explore in the anime. Pokemon clearly have conflicting feelings about being trained, and trainers take different ideas as to if pokemon are their tools or partners, or even simply friends. Theres no definite answer, but I think in the pokemon world humans dominate
