I don't watch a whole lot of anime, bot of the ones I've seen there are a few that I absolutely LOVED.

1.) Elfen Lied - Story of a mutated race of humans called Diclonius, they're basically born to commit genocide together.

2.) Kodomo no Jikan - An Ecchi that follows a new teacher at an elementary school who has a student with a big crush on him.

3.) Inuyasha - The story of a time traveling school student and her dog-demon companion: Inuyasha.

4.) Pokémon - If you don't know what it's about, you're probably on this forum by accident.

5.) Slayers - A Dungeons and Dragons-type story following a sorceress and her companions.

6.) Sailor Moon - A team of teenage girls that transform into heroines that protect the solar system.

Darn, I didn't make it to 10. >.<

Well, my list has been updated:

1) Clannad (Still hasn't been toppled, almost near perfection 9.8/10)

2) Steins;Gate (Finished recently, was utterly amazed, got so many things right 9.5/10)

3) FMA: Brotherhood (Fluid, exciting and a pleasure to watch 9.4/10)

4) Eden of the East (Edge of your seat stuff, brilliant direction 9.2/10)

5) Code Geass (A true classic, Lelouch is a memorable character indeed 9.0/10)

6) Ano Hana (Slice of life at it's best, truly bittersweet 9.0/10)

7) Tiger & Bunny (Underdog of the season, very enjoyable and awesome 9.0/10)

8) Gurren Lagann (Another classic, one word - EPIC 8.8/10)

9) Death Note (Utterly thrilling stuff, great characters, great show 8.7/10)

10) The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Highly overrated, but still quite good 8.6/10)

Also, so many of the top 10 shows in this thread are quite bad and undeserving imo. Pokemon, lucky star, yugioh, seriously? I guess it shows the younger demographic of these boards...
