Youtube and MOVs?

I'm trying to put a .MOV file on youtube. It hasnt yet been uploaded and it has been like 30 mins. The video is around 6 mins. Is it cause of the file or the length that it takes too long?

It depends on quality, length and your upload speed.

well, I dunno what upload speed is but I know the video is around 6-7 ninutes long and I think it has good quality, I dunno. It was me taping myself battle Cipher Admin Ardos on Pokemon XD. It is 115,005 Kilobytes.

It would be a good quality for 115 megs. If you know how you may want to lower the quality.

Yeah, 115 megs is pretty big. I don't think YouTube actually let you upload files that big.

Try converting it and lowering the quality a bit. Mabye make the resolution 320x240, and make the sound mono instead of stereo.

And try a different video format other than MOV, since MOV creates very big filesizes. Try something like Realmedia or MPEG-2.

Windows
Convert to WMV, then put into Windows Movie Maker then Save as Movie and lower the resolution.

Mac OS X
Put into iMovie and lower resolution. Then try to convert to WMV.
