Okay, sorry I raised the bar too much, but Sakura doesn't want his love, and will do anything to dodge it! But, wait til you meet his even more freakier Sensei...a turtle???!!! Also this week, take a walk on the Forbidden Side, the Forbidden Jutsu side!

Wow. We're actually a day ahead of CN? Kewl.

I don't like the anime version of this fight. It went WAY to quickly and unlike the one in the manga. Yes, even though it is only featured in one chapter and like three pages, I think it should have been slightly longer.

Well, at least it wasn't like last episode which crammed so much jank into it, and had some wierd type of "filler".

It's a good episode though. Sets the bar and shows you how strong Rock Lee really is. How he's just keeps working hard to accomplish his goal and how his like one of the most uber ninjas in the show. It's kinda kewl, actually.

Well, I thought the Japanese version was hilarious! I hope whoever does Gai's voice does him justice

and Sakura.. ehe.. a great oppurtunity for a Matrix moment, but I guess they didn't wanna do that ^_^

Gai's voice is something that has to be improved on. It's good, but it needs help. And my, oh my! Did Lee ever sound so Bruce like in that episode ?!?!

Umm, bending head over heels to dodge Kisses, Turtle the Sensei?! Forbidden TaiJutsu?! This show gets more confusing every week! Okay, I can declare that just like Zatch Bell on CN last week: Naruto has made a 1 week turn into Bobobobo-bo-bobo!!!

Okay, the battle was a very intresting one, Rock could stop attacks just with a literal flick of the wrists (yes, that's all it took!), that's bad news even for Sharingan Sauske! Taijutsu? Yes, and you thought last week's Genjutsu madness was wacky, now we've got trickless signature moves to deal with! But now Rock Lee does this forbidden Jutsu (was it Leaf Shadow or something)...but this is where the madness truly begins:

Yes, for a few minutes, I was about to refer to Rock Lee as "Mr. My Sensei is a Turtle", a TURTLE?!?!?!?! Who hired the Bobobo writers to do this show? Do they do guest producers in anime because that was ridiclous! But even worse, getting a pounding to the face by a turtle, apolgizing to a turtle, you should see the looks on Team 7's faces!!!! But then a puff of smoke and...Gai is a human that looks just like Rock Lee? Oh great, they must be relations...

How much more wacky can this show get, [spoil]From what I could make out, Rock Lee isin't the strongest, it's Neji![/spoil] But how could he beat Sauske we'll never know!

But Gai, he is so funny, he thinks he's hot, he seems like Folgore without the italian accent and the cheesy music! His voice was okay...

Do they do guest producers in anime because that was ridiclous! But even worse, getting a pounding to the face by a turtle, apolgizing to a turtle, you should see the looks on Team 7's faces!!!! But then a puff of smoke and...Gai is a human that looks just like Rock Lee? Oh great, they must be relations...

The turtle is Gai's summon, iirc...

... The Turtle was his SUMMON Gai did not turn INTO the turtle and the turtle did not turn into Gai... Gai can just appear where ever that turtle goes (or so it seems)

I've actually never seen Bo^7, but yeah this episode is as wacky as it gets. In fact, I was laughing so hard at those antics. Quote the shaking Sakura: "You're a weirdo with that bowl haircut and bushy eyebrows!" I thought Gai's voice is perfect as it adds to the humor to the character and is glad the dubbers kept the scene where he punched Lee.

Apparently, Gai's name is being changed to "Guy". The captions call him Guy, the recent chapters of Naruto in Shonen Jump call him Guy, and even some new edition versions of early Naruto volumes are calling him Guy. (Well, I took a look at a Naruto Vol. 4 book today and saw that his name was called Guy, so it had to be a newer copy, right?)

Anyway, the episode was good. I missed the first half of the episode, but I loved Guy's debut. I can't wait for the next episode since it's going to debut more people. Also, here's a new title for February 18.

This episode is one of the few I have in manga-form. That one fact made me look forward to this episode even more.

Anyway, funny episode. Guy was hilarious, and his voice was just fine, to me.

Unlike in the manga, the anime foreshadowed Neji's strength. I'm pretty excited to see him fight.

The dubbed episode itself was fine (though I was amused at the edit they made to Gai punching Lee)
